I wanted to give my thanks to Fredsta and anyone else involved in the cheapest hammerdin build topic. I made a hammerdin a few days ago because of that, it is really starting to pay off. Starting with just Irathas, I decided to move and swap some gear between characters, getting my din goldskin, tarnhem, frostburn and nightsmoke as well as tossing on a +1 33HP 25FR 11LR ammy and a 10FCR 29% FR ring and a 60MANA 30LIFE ring topping it all of with a 49% WARD. He was doing very well considering it was my first hamdin ever.

Last night he started to pay off..

First Instance
~ I charge my way around Durance of Hate Level 3 to Mephisto.
~ As always I take out bloodlords and councilmen, they dropped nothing of value.
~ I go onto Meph and unleash a barrage of hammers taking him down quickly
~ He drops a rare lance, rare scythe and some other junk, I pocket the lance and return to town via townportal.
~ I identify the lance, 181 damage, useless so I walk over to Ormus to get some money for it.
~ As I move my mouse over the lance again I notice it was not 181 but 281
~ A smile flushes my face and I become quite happy

Second Instance *Extreme*
~ I charge to Level 3 again
~ I take out a deal of the council down there again they drop nothing of importance
~ Fire a few hammer waves at Meph until he falls
~ Two large lumps of gold fall, caused by my 249% Goldfind. In-between them lay a ring, not just any ring, a unique ring.
~ I grab the gold and the ring and hop through the portal to Act 4, knowing that all I possess is a Manald ring I am not too excited.
~ I yell at Cain to identify the ring, I glance at it; Mana- wait, no, that name is far too long to be Manald. I take another look at it, Stone of Jordan Ring. My heart speeds up and I gasp for a second, I run my cursor over it again, still it is an soj.
~ Getting very happy, I yell at my friends list and smile.

So there we have it, that cheap din build has got me my first SOJ of the season and a decent lance to boot. Horrah!

He must live with Durf.

Actually, Durf lives in a Buddist Shrine up the street from me. He's been assigned a Serect Mission to watch over "The Ancient Dillar Jar". The opening of which has been known to start world wars. :xmas16:
