hey i saw mcm's barb, and i was really interested. i was wondering, what does leap do? and when do u use it?

just to clear up terminology...

bvc is barb vs caster?
bvb is barb vs.... barb??

what seperates the two stats and skills wise?

i was wondering if someone could send me a link to a bvc guide or what mcm is.

this may sound retrarded but is mcm godly or does he lose some too? nseems like he pwns completely.

thanks :xmas10:

edit: i read the guide above. awnsered most myu questions but i still got some.

He uses Leap to dodge bone spears ect.
Bvb= Barb Vs Barb
Bva= Barb Vs All

Actually, he uses it to create a stun field, so that he will stun the teleporting casters and put them in hit recovery animation, thus giving him a good chance to tele-ww.

hmmm..... i read th dyns guide or whatever, and to my understanding the only difference is gear and a small skill difference. . iron skin, shout, increased speed, natural res. it think thats it.

so if i made a bvc, i can switch it to a bvb by mere gear switch? however it wouldnt be as good if it was a pure but still good nonetheless?

in the guide it says increase speed will increase the amount of attacks in your whirlwind. do im wondering, why it doesnt suggest to max it? would it not be uber helpful to have? if it does increase the number of attacks, what are the breakpoints for it?

and ppl max leap then, to create a stun? is that why mcm leaps randomly after teleporting? attmeptimg to predict their movements/teleports and to land on the creating a stunfield so he can whirlwind them while stunned? and does leap dodge bone spears and elemental stuffs?

edit: i also notice that mcm only uses the leap after he teles and no one is around him. this is implying that he only uses it when ppl tele to him as opposed to him teling ontop of someone else? because when he teles to attack somone, he teles, then ww right away. if the leap has such good stun and is that good, then why not tele, leap ontop then stnning them, then whirlwind. and pwn them.???

thank you very much.

Not exactly. You couldn't make a BvC barb work well in BvB just by switching gear; you'd need a totally different stat placement (BvB barbs need 222 dex for max block with stormshield). You can, however, make a BvB work in BvC just by switching gear, but then you have all the wasted dex points that really cut into your vitality. It's generally better to go one or the other, but BvA can put up a fight.

At 19 points, the stun radius of leap covers virtually the entire screen, so there's no need to really predict where the opponent will be.

Check Rik's whirlwind guide for more information about how the damage/attacks work out, for better understanding of how run speed affects it.

Leap is used to put casters into FHR animation so that the barb can have a chance to tele up and WW them, so...Leap doesn't suck.

Is this true? I've heard that 19 doesn't cover the corners, but 22 does.

19 covers whole screen except corners (since it's a circlular radius). 21 covers the corners as well.

No. 21 isn't even close to cover the corners.

Which is why I said "virtually" ;) But seriously, it covers most of the screen, making it very effective!

Then what covers corners? Last I heard was 21 or 22.

don't they have the same radius?

We did some testing and somewhere between 25-28 I guess you could say that the corners are covered. By that I mean that you can knock back someone whos feet are on your screen, then tele/ww them while they are off-screen. Very very useful, I use it all the time. Not only does it allow for a better first whirl than namelock tele/ww, your opponent is usually a bit off-guard too since he hasn't even seen you on screen.
