Zon making a CTA

I'm finally getting to make my first CTA. I feel I need it to try to go to Uber Trist. Plus CTA is cool and I'm finally getting to make one. My question is what to make one in.

To bow or not to bow?

Bow plus seems - easier to have on switch. It hold emergency arrows. As in my Windforce ran out let me switch to Harmony and steal the arrows to use in the good bow.

Can do damage in emergency. I have a Shadow with 5 sockets now. I've also got a couple of mat bows that I'm going to try to roll for four and if they come up 5...

Not a bow - CTA's seem to be a good trade value item. I also play with sorc I might want to let her borrow. I think a CTA should be made in something you can trade in.

What is most tradeable/worth most. Crystal Sword, Flail, or Phase blade. If I'm missing something please let me know.

There may be one that i am not aware of - but i do not know of any bowzon soloing Tristram. Before making up a CTA, have someone bo ya and try it - or Lilith for that matter.
It took me a time or 2 to figgure out how to fight there and what to equip. I see you in us-west trade page from time to time so expect that you play there. There are many good folks in the west who will be happy to help ya out should things turn to crap. I certainly needed it my first time in. I do not know of anyone in west who would expect anything for uber help.
I will keep an eye on this thread to see how it works. It just seemed to me that a bowzon that might succeed in Trist would require a special build that would diminish her effectiveness at everything else.

+1-6 To Battle Orders (varies)*

30% Better Chance of Getting Magic ItemsIt's got IAS, decent amount of ED, life leech and skill, but (un)fortunatley there are better RWs out there :D. But still I think it'd be a very interesting bow to make and use and I must assume it'd be hell-viable as well.

I have a CtA Matri back on NL. It's used as a weapon switch for a MF zon, my Diablo huntress. You can certainly kill stuff in Hell with it, but there is better, cheaper stuff out there. If you just want CtA for the buff, make a 1 handed melee CtA and pair it with a +skill shield.

The way prices are going on east, you could make a Faith bow with the price of creating a CTA. West might be different though.

Heh. You're right. I just DID make a Faith GMB on East. And it didn't cost too much more than making CtA. The empty bow certainly cost more than an empty CS or Flail, but the runes were about the same.

I made that CtA bow 2 years ago at the start of 1.10, there was a lot of um... experimentation going on back then :xmas17:

It's useful on a Javazon for killing sorcs.

Very useful on a poison Javazon.

i think that +skills adds to your BO level?
if so id put it in a 1h weapon and use spirit...

That's almost as useless as making CTA in an armor...as someone in a pub game tried, unsuccessfully; which was very lucky of him as there was no fifth socket, which would've the spot was his Ohm.

not really I think it would be quite cool putting it into a different weapon

but it's a great runeword in general
