I only know my cold fire lite and psn resistance.

In addition, is physical res the same thing as damage reduction from gaze?

As far as I know, there is no way to know your magic/physical resistance unless you total up the amounts from your equipment and things. I believe physical resistance would be the same as damage reduction but this I'm not positive about...

Damaged Reduction %, like that granted from Shaftstop, Vampire Gaze and Stormshield is your physical resistance. Only totaling them up will give you the amount you have.

Your physical resistance is capped at 50%, meaning in most cases you only need a total of 50% damage reduction to meet this. That said, curses like amplify damage and decrify can reduce your physical resistances (-100% and -50% respectively). In this situation, having greater than 50% damage reduction would decrease the effectiveness of these curses, but ultimate I don't believe it's worth it.

of course, if you have a shield and max block its sort of like having 75% physical resistance

Not really. If it were similar to phyiscal resistance, then that would mean the physical damage done to you is reduced by 75%, which it is not.

If someone hit you for 500 physical damage (assuming we've already been through the PvP, and stuff), and you have 75% chance to block, then they have a 25% of doing the full 500 physical damage, and a 75% chance of doing no damage at all.

This isn't resistance, it's negation :xmas30:
