What would you go with and what gear would you use for each?

I would really appreciate it if you could post what you think...

I would like to get the best damage, i will probably be using this as a pvm and pvp...

not that rich either... i can get 2 botd swords if i wanted to, or should i get 1 then something else...

Might use a spirit shield that i have if i go sword shield barb

Also wat skills do u think i should use for each... I know this is a lot and i might get flamed but i would appreciate it if you guys helped

First of all, you should go axes instead of swords. Axes are much more powerful single-handed weapons, with lower requirements to boot.

Secondly, it depends on what you're going to be doing overall. For PvM, you don't really need a shield, though I use one anyways just because it makes life easier. In PvP, it depends on who you're fighting. Against other barbarians, you MUST have a shield, and that shield MUST be stormshield. Against casters, you'll need to dual wield, since a shield won't help you there.

You just need to decide what you'd like to do with the barb overall and adjust accordingly. If you're not really sure but think you'd like to do a bit of everything, get a stormshield, a beast axe, and either BotD or Grief; that way, you can adapt according to what you want to do.

Maybe people would consider axes more viable without seeking advice if the damn things didn't look so tiny in the one-handed versions

Isn't that the truth. I have learned my lesson though and am planning to build an axe frenzier this time. :xmas30:

That's probably true, (I wouldn't know exactly),but what if you had better swords than axes on your acc?

For instance, I don't have any unique axes, but my two best swords are a djinn slayer and a champion sword. In this case, wouldn't dual wielding swords make more sense?

For the most part, if you plan your build and intend to make it optimal, that should include his equipment and getting a few new pieces if necessary. If you go by what's at your disposal already, you have to compare items yourself since say a steelclash wouldnt be much help in the cases where you should be using a shield.
