Wow, when I got my first goldskin I was so happy. I was around lvl 70. I traded a whole bunch of stuff for it it. Since then, I have found 4 silks and another g skin and I am currently lvl 88. The only thing people are offering for these nowadays are like 1 gull dagger. Is the value of silks and g skins going down?

I'd say gull=gs, with silks being slightly worth more than both. I've come across few of each and when trading it is usually easier to get a gull for a gs and harder to get a gs for a gull. Silks is by far easier to get either of them (from my trading experience). It also depends on who I trade with, I have to add some other low tier items +a gull = gs. I am quite sure it is like that on east. Usually if patient enough ill get a 1:1 trade. Although I play uswest, I doubt there is that much difference in values.
What I try to do when getting silks/gull/gs is save a few of them each to trade for good rares. It seems those 3 uniques are the stepping stone to get to the higher grade items if you don't ever come across any yourself. At least that's what I find.

Currently:
Gull > Silks > GS
With the lower value of these, the values fluctuate a lot.
You can get a decent +2 shield for a good gskin+silks, and you really need one on your hdin :P
Silks have their uses (BO babas, chanter, nooby FOH, etc), and they're able to fetch some nice things. Goldskin is worth a bit more, and they can often grab some nice legits. +1 pris amulets with nice mods often go for gskin, but the best ones go for SOJ or more. Still, a +1 pris fcr amulet for a pal or sorc with an extra mod or two is yours for a gskin. Some lesser modded +2 amulets are also worth Gskin, or even silks.

silks: 2gulls, some1 in need of it may give a gskin
gull: +1 17priz 13mf ammy or 3shards+ with something else
shard: basically nothin like a steelclash
wat i tell you is gskin silks and gulls make u godly now u got lots so go in hell games where ppl ask 4 them go inside and jeez ull find gg dude as i said i found one in a game like this a wand worth 2 sojs and he just wanted a gull... its all bout getting this 3 items by lots and going in the rite games

Other than your mainly incoherent lingusitic skills, I would totally disagree with you. Steelclash is nothing close to being worth a shard. Shards are more desirable.
Silks are not worth 2 gulls, more like 1 gull if your lucky.
Gulls are worth about 2 shards and it'd be nice to get that kind of ammy... but to bad you can't.

if it has mods similar to those and good rep, a svs would mabye pay 2 sojs for it
EDIT: and yah if it had +2 nec and other useful nec skills (like bspear) then it could easily be worth 2

Maybe it would have worth of two but I honestly couldn't see anyone ever buying a wand for that much. That is because 'Godly Necros' are a rare sight in West Ladder and they never pay top-price for good necro gear around these parts.

If it had five prefixes it would be worth lots of SOJs.
Anyway, mods on wands differ, and one with perfect mods for someone might be worth more than one. For example:
+2nec 20fcr 3amp 3ce 3bspear 40fr 40lr 20energy 5rep
could be worth 2 or more SOJs to a cs nec, because it's pretty much the perfect wand for him (or 60mana instead of lr)
+2nec 20fcr 3bspear 3im 3decrep 40cr 40lr 20energy 5rep
could be worth over an SOJ to someone who needs exactly this for PvP.
The prices of godlies increase greatly when they are so powerful because even a slightly better item can be worth much more. Think about the difference in price of a 176BH and a 180BH, not much damage difference but the 180 would be worth much more with the same mods.

silk is worth 2 sojs if u trade with the people that know bout trading and shard jeez..wanna know a fact? at the second week of this ladder there were already 25+ shards they are so many and so ezz 2 find ill pay a steeclash MAX 4 a shard...i have 3 of does ammy all pretty much alike worth 1 gull i wont pay more 4 it now go to USEast and youll c im right...
bout the wand i have seen this ladder people offerin 3 sojs+ for wands like +2 20fcr bspear or other skill 3x fr 3xlr 5 rep specially as some1 said cs necs or like the best USEast svs sorc with is a blizz 1 max rest hell and she has 53 rep she has a wand like the one i just metion...

Think that trading gs and silks is more subtle than
silk = gs = gull
defence matters to people who actually know that they have different defence vaules.
so 500 silk > a less than 500 silk
and 400 gs > a less than 400 gs
there is no real reson for this as it makes little difference but people like the higher vaules.
If you know where to look it is actually easier to mf a gull than a goldskin or silks in my opinion, but also more gs and silks drop from Hell diablo than gulls. Since most good players do alot of hell cs they are more likely to find the armours than a gull.
Always in trade it depends on who you trade with, what they know and what they are prepared to trade, once i dont need something any more as i already have enough of them it has less value to me and im more likely to trade it!
To be honest apart from soj,gs,silk,gull,hotspur (only pick up silk and hots because i know i can trade them but dont need them any more) all other uniques have no value to me and i wont even pick them up if they drop because they drop so often, except chance guards, tarn and nagel to check for perfects.

Most items vary a good amount because rich people are willing to pay more than the "value" if they need a cheaper item, and poor people will be unable to pay for a truly godly item, but the richest people will pay as much as they can if they can get the single best rare of a certain type (another reason why classic is better than xpac... no generic "god" uniques/runewords)
