I'm starting a new Bowazon, and was looking for a good build, but can't seem to find one for v1.11. Any links/ideas/suggestions? Right now, the guides seem to either go with a strafer or magic arrows...

The 1.10 guides are stil useable since not a whole lot changed from 1.10 to 1.11 character-wise. I would go with a Strafer for a bowazon.

I agree, love my strafer! The only problem is the lock up. I will switch between multi-arrow and strafe depending upon the situation!
You have to have life and mana leach and Pierce is a must!
I go anywhere I want in hell without too much concern (hard core) and she kicks butt!

Spend minimal points on all the skills leading up to strafe.
I recommend working on passives until you can learn strafe, but just a suggestion. Afterwards, spend all points possible on strafe! By level 30ish, strafe is completely free, allowing you to fire 25-30 arrows rapidly, also dealing around 150%-195% normal damage per arrow.
I don't know if this works yet, but if it does, it'll be really evil: Get the ice bow (runeword), it has 25% chance of casting level 20 frost nova on strike- very nice. Try to socket on grand matron bow, or something that gives you bonus points to all bow/xbow skills.

A high level strafe will never have the damage output of a regular "normal attack" because strafe cuts off 1/4 of the weapon damage, and the strafe bonus can't make up for such a penalty.
If you go with strafe don't put more than 1 point in D/A/E passives

25~30 arrows? What patch are you playing?

Strafe is capped at 10 arrows.

Multishot is king in the Flayer Jungle.

Hmm.. just something I saw.
Anyway, strafe is still good with other effect bows, especially if you get your bow shael'd, but that's really obvious.
I definately prefer strafe over multishot. If you decide not to go the freezing arrow route, I would suggest having a source of knockback and crushing blow. Even tho crushing blow is nerfed with ranged weapons, it should make a big difference in hell difficulty with the large life of all hell creatures.
