You can also look at the set of runewords. There are a few good melee items for an Um rune: Crescent Moon, Duress.

Personally, I favour keeping ums for resistance purposes, they add a considerable amount, I believe theminumum is 25% (correct me if I am wrong, I am very tired right now) to all.
