I've got a unique scepter with 3 sockets. I'm thinking of using it for a rune word. Will it's current qualities disappear if I add Amn, Ral & Thul and make it into "King's Grace"? :xmas2:

You can only create runewords on grey items.
sets, rares or uniques don't work.

EDIT: nice timing Gorny, 2nd time I was first tho :p

You won't get the runeword.

You can't make any runeword into any unique weapon or armor.

None of the Unique Sceptors have three sockets. O.o

Even if it existed, you can't make Runewords in anything other than Plain items.

I shall check tonight, but I thought it was Unique. I have been wrong before though. Either way, will the current attributes disappear?

As already said in 3 posts above, runewords don't work on sets, uniques or rares..
If you socket a set, unique or rare, it gets the properties of the rune, nothing will disappear.
You are probably talking about aldur's mace or gris wpn, at least those can have 3 socks but they're set items.
