Secret Cow lvl

OK, so after a few tries I beat Baal. I went back to town and opened the portal to the Secret Cow lvl. I expected this to be difficult, but it was a joke. FOH coupled with Redemption trashed the herds. The King was equally a joke. I guess the joke was on me, because after killing every cow on the lvl, I was rewarded with crap. Not a single usable items. My question is this: how can I get back into the Secret Cow lvl for another round? :xmas22:

1. Get the leg and a TP scroll
2. Wait until the game is 5 minutes old (you can skip this if you run two copies of the game) and drop the leg in town
3. Enter the game with a character who hasn't lost the ability to open the cow level and open the portal (must have killed hell Baal)
4. Come back with the original character and enter the cow level

BTW, only the opening of the cow level is tied to killing Baal while anybody in hell mode can enter the portal.

^ No, but they have the potential to drop stuff. The more you kill, the better chance of getting good drops.

The only consequence of killing every cow (specifically, Moo-Moo King) is that the Cow Level will no longer be available for the specific difficulty for that specific character. Which you don't want. Leave Moo-Moo King alone unless you're hunting after Moo-Moo set.

Is this norm cows? I don't recall hell cows being THAT easy (unless you are running a furyzon or a CE necro).

Another thing to note is that you can't enter somebody else's TP into the Secret Cow Level unless you've defeated Baal at that level.

Well, you will not be able to make another portal in whatever difficulty you did that in. Once you kill the Cow King, no more making portals for you...

Oops, I guess I screwed up, since I barbequed his butt.I did that with my barb while helping cow someone in normal. One minute my torch went off and POOF!!!! I overcooked their leader :lol:

<edit> forgot to suggest an option you have is to ask a friend who has yet to kill the king to open the cows for you. then just make sure you are the one who always kills the king so this way he doesnt get the quest.
