ok so earlier today I was fighting lord de sies,and I went to town for a sec and he changed his Fana aura to a conviction aura,is that normal?

De Seis always has fanaticism, but perhaps he was near another boss with with a conviction aura while nobody else was near enough, so only for him the aruas cycled.

This is one of the uber change bosses does a lot weird - at one point in the game he could pickpocket items from you.
random 2nd & 3rd (?) effects city boss.

the area was clear,no enemy near by except him and his minions.

Somehow, if you leave him alone enough (like not anywhere near him), he gets reset and his aura changes. I have him using some useless auras before, and I say "thank you" then killed him.
