Duress?

Hi all!
I'm thinking of making a duress for my werewolf/fury druid. I'm currently wearing a steel carapace, so I already blew a lot of points into strength, but I'm ok with that. Sooo... What would be the best armor for it? I'm thinking a superior achron plate, which I have yet to find. But, I do have a Superior Dusk shourd at about 512 defense,,, would that be good? what would the final defense be? any other ideas for armor?

Well, while I'm at it... I maxed ww, lync, fury, and how... but i have a few skill points left. I put one each to get grizzly friend, with +skills, he's at 8, and so is the prereqs... so what should I dump the remaining skills in?

duress is awesome for a shapeshifted druid like yours. cblow/open wounds, and most of all, it gives a wolf a very fast hit recovery, best in the game.

if it had +1 all skills it would be top armour. Dusk Shroud is probably the best bet. I threw mine in a high armoured but non superior Hellforge Plate. some would say thats dumb, nah, it was a nice idea. I get same armour as the near perfect superior dusk, yet the repair bill for it is small. if you have lots of cash go for it.

Since you already have the str needed to wear Steel Carapace, why not use Archon Plate for your Duress? It's not like you're going to have to put in any more str in order to use it.

You're both right, I'm just waiting for that heavy armor (with three socs) to make one... i might just drop em in that above stated super dusk shroud... Soo with a 512 sup, what kinda defense are we talking about? otherwise I'll wait for the heavy armor. If I do find the heavier armor,, whats the defense then? man, this is such a great forum.. love it.

ah ok, defense, if you click on the Items database and look for white/regular Elite armour, you will see the max and min on it. That is listed without superior and stuff. superior goes from around 7% to 15%. superior costs considerably more to repair, but of course, garauntees a higher end defense.

if you have the strength like I did, you do not care as much for the low strength requirement of dusk shroud, intstead you want to maximize the armour. Enigma on the other hand adds base defense, so the superior % boost shows up nice on that, plus, you can only sell shrouds or archon plate enigmas for equal trade value.

Defense is useless for wolves, they have no defense boosting skills. So dont really be concerned, use whichever armor you want.

yeah werewolves aren't supposed to have high defense. highest armor i would go is archon, but your dusk is fine if you dont want to wait anymore.
you might want to remake your druid one day, and find that the super heavy armor cost too much strength now, or maybe even give the duress to another character later on

you can make your runewords in sup items but make them in those that don't have increased dur.you pay about 50k for repairing one point of item durability if it's made in an sup INC. DUR. armor

The Ubers will laugh at your 2K added damage from Fort. Stick with Duress; the CB will remove tens of thousands of HP at a time.
