Heya all, I just started playing D2 for fun after a break of 2 years. I was just wondering how my old druids (from 1.09) would hold up against a 1.11 fury druid.

Skills: WW,Lycan,Fury,Feral, Oak or HoW (More than 1 Druids)

Equipment:
Set 1:
Gris Caddy (3*40/15ias) or CMSQ (shael,shael,40/15ias)
Stormshield (40/15max)
Jalal's Mane (40/15max)
Shaftstop (40/15max)
Crafted blood gloves (8 or 9 ll I don't remember)
Strings
Highlords
Goreriders
9ll crafted ring
8ll crafted ring or Raven Frost

Set 2:
Gris Caddy (3*40/15ias) or CMSQ (shael,shael,40/15ias)
Stormshield (40/15max)
Vamp Gaze (Ber)
Arkaine's Valor (Cham)
Crafted blood gloves (8 or 9 ll I don't remember)
Strings
Highlords
Goreriders
9ll crafted ring
8ll crafted ring

Plenty of Life,Skills,Max Dmg, FHR charms

(If you need more info, just tell me)

Anyways, just wanted to see how these guys would hold up. Thanks for the input.

Needs a lot of gear changes.
1st. 40/15 max jewels are bugged and do not give the same damage as before. They need to be replaced with either 40/9 str (for pure damage), or 40/9 dex to save stats and pump vit more.
2. Cap on DR is 50%, so stormshield +verdungo 15% is all the DR u need.
3. Life leech doesnt work in pvp anymore, AR is important so dump ur crafted gloves and ll rings for draculs and 2x ravens. Shaftstop or Arkaines are also redundant armors when things like Enigma (+2 skills 45% frw, str on lvl or Fortitude - 300% ed, chilling armor CTC, 30 all res, life per lvl and 200% enh. def are around).
4. Gris caddy and CMSQ's and the like are outdated weapons, while Gris can still hold up, from my experience Grief PB is the wolf's weapon of choice now. (400+ avg damage, ctc venom, 20% deadly strike, -25% psn resist of target). Its a 5 framer however, but the damage more than makes up for it. There are crazy rare 4 framers, but ive never seen one worth using over grief. (They can exist though - 300% ed, AR on lvl, eth self repair, 40 ias fanged knives for example).
5. with the shapeshifting lvl 32 bug removed, its better to use Shapeshifting skillers with 3x-4x life over max/ar/life gc or sc's. Now u can cast werewolf with over +20 to all skills, and it will boost your life, AR and damage much more than max/life sc's will. There are also +all skill charms around, like annihilus (+1 all skills, +stats +res) and hellfire torch (+3 druid, +stats + res). U can hold only one of the each however.

So you can't life leech at ALL in PvP? It just works for PvM?
I dueled some of my friends chars and such, while life leech didn't really show much, it did have some effect?
Is ll still in effect on a lower scale or just removed completely from PvP?

I'll try to get a Grief Phase Blade and try it out, but What about EBOTD Zerker Axe?

Is Melee Druid PvP just all about dishing out max dmg with a 2-handers?
I've read other threads that seems to lean over to the 2-handers in general.
Is this the case for PvP against other classes or just druid versus druid?

Which one would a fury wolf prefer for the armor: Fortitude or Enigma?
For Druid vs Druid, Helm: Cerberus' Bite or Jalal's Mane?

Asides from your recommendations for some of the equipment changes,
are my other equipment still the high-end gear for PvP druid?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

1. Life leech is completely ineffective, while Life Tap works well. (the only form of leech that works). The effect isnt completely removed but it is subject to all the penalties which makes it about 1/64 of its original value. So u might be able to leech back 10-15 life per hit but it isnt significant at all.

2.Grief is the best damage wise, EbotD zerk has higher range though and is useful in some duels where range is an advantage. Its also a 5 framer.

3. 2-handers are really for dueling casters only. Eth Tomb reaver made possible a 4 frame fury dishing about 10k damage per hit. But in a druid v druid u will get destroyed without a shield. Same goes for dueling most other melee classes.

4. Fortitude is really for melee duels only, while Enigma makes it possible to create 10k+ life wolves by putting all points in vit. Its more of a caster dueling armor with the fr/w helping as well.

5. For dru v dru definitely Cerebus. Open wounds and AR bonus totally outweigh anything jalals has to offer.

6. Other equipment also includes rare pelts (+druid +fury sockets AR bonus etc), jeweled armors of the whale (+30 max socketed), rare weapons, Oath Scourge and Cryptic sword can actually be pretty decent weapons hitting 5 frame fury with 400+ 1 handed damage. Of course Eth 3 socketed Tomb reaver for dueling casters, socketed with 40/15 ias,40/15 ias, zod. Crafted OW belts with fhr, life, str. I think most of your gear needs replacing tbh, while your gris caddy and CMSQ can be viable, it is really no match for a top notch grief wielding wolf. Well of course highlord and goreriders are still the best choice :).
