I am considering making a PvP druid, something fun and suitibly crazy.

So... how does a Elemental Fire/Fire claws druid sound? Crazy enough?

But would such a thing be viable? I think that the only real drawbacks would be a need for a shifted weapon and a caster weapon and a lack of skill points.

However, this is what I propose.

Skills:
20 Fire Storm
10+ Molten Boulder (Add to it as I level higher)
20 Fissure
20 Volcano

20 Fire Claws
1 Werewolf (Prereq)
1 Maul (Prereq)
1 Feral Rage (Prereq)
1 Werebear
1 Lycanthropy

That will keep me leveling for a while... One question is, should I go with Armageddon instead of one of the other skills? I could keep the armageddon cast while in werebear form, which would serve as an additional damage source, although it would drop Fireclaws and the fire skills damage.

Gear:
Jalals (shaeled or faceted) / Ravenlore (Shaeled or faceted) WHICH ONE?
Some sorta ammy
110IAS Phase + Storm Sheild/ CTA + Either Sigons for blocking or Lidless for tele cast rate
Enigma of sorts
Arachnid's mesh
Mage fists
Probably Treks, although some rares with nice resists would also be good.
Some nice resist rings or Bul-Kathos (depends on how much I have left to spend after getting the rest of the stuff)

Obviously Torch and also an anni if I can get one. But should I use Shape GCs or Ele GCs or both or some bizzare other thing?

So, should I scrap the idea now or could it work?

you have an issue of having the fire resisted and no back up plan that I can see.

what else besides fire?

need to change it up for a swiss army knife!

About skills, you need to use something for life. Lycanthropy would be great but, since you would be in Wolf from as much as being unshifted I would go with Sage. Its life or dmg, you need life in hell to be viable :\

You raise a good point... Change from the 110ias phase to something more damaging maybe? Hmm, there is not much room for hybriding with a druid... Any suggestions for a fast damaging weapon?

And about Oak, yeah, 1 point + skills. I figure that it will die anyway and I really dont want to have to stop to recast it in the middle of a duel....

well, if you go super ias, you can go Crushing Blow.

goblin toes, 10% cblow blood gloves, thats 35%. Stormlash would be great to add to it, kinda hard to aquire though. Hat normally would be Guillames face, but jalal's is so fantastic for the build, it's hard to use the Guillames. If you had adequate +skills, you could use it just the same. Fire and crushing blow would decimate ranks of monsters.

armegeddon is the way to go for this tricky build. Fire claws and that with near 100% cblow and super fast attack would be a nice balanced force to kill stuff.

add a merc with that decrepify stick, you will be able to fly through things.

Remember, super fire damage on the claws is only great if you swing slow, if you swing like a nut, you need less damage. Consider a -5% fire facet for a noticable boost in damage if you have the trade power.

Hmm... well I intended the build for pvp, so is all that stacking of crushing blow needed?

I could probably get me a stormlash, and keep that for use if my fire is resisted/absorbed....

Sound like a plan?
