View Full Version : What socket for IK Maul?

Hi guys merry xmas!

For my IK Maul, I have three options in mind.
1- 2 Shaels for %80IAS
2- 2 Ohms for %300ED
3- 2 Bers for %80 CB

or i can go for a Shael and an Ohm. I have pretty much everyhing in runes, inc. 2 Zods:D so your suggestions are welcome!

p.s. if you know really useful jewels they are also considerable!

how did the breakpoint work it out 4 u
is it really worth giving up the extra %100ED from Ohms?

ya got 40% ias on the maul itself
ya need 70 ias for bp so 2* 3x/15 (ed/ias) would be best if you wanna reach 4 fpa ww :xmas1:

how much extra ias does a bonehew needs for ww?

Just remember that ww only uses the ias on the weapon.

2x Shael or IAS jewels. But that's only if ur using ww... If not ur better off with BERBER or BER+ED/IAS jewel for crushing blow and a mix of dmg/speed. Kickass... Ohms are fine but just dmg isn't that great IMHO.

However for anyone and anything CB is just overkill

Hellplague - the IK maul needs 30% more IAS to hit its final breakpoint for whirlwind. SO, you need some combination of shaels/ias jewels to get there. Don't bother socketing anything else.

Rabbitz - Hoi was talking about the IK maul in his post; he wasn't referring to your question. Bonehew needs another 40% ias for whirlwind, so you need two shaels. Don't do ber and ed/ias, that's a waste. Even if you're NOT doing whirlwind, you need to socket it with shaels; in fact, it's more important to then, since all other attacks suffer huge speed penalties with 2h weapons.
