[US WEST] Anyone interested in an ironman duel?

Well, I read about this a long time ago, and did it once with a friend, but an 8man group might be alot of fun.

Jhist of it - We all arrange a couple of hours to level to 9 with no outside help, keeping/using only items we find in our party. Group must stay together, and when someone hits level 9, they go to town, and wait. When we all hit level 9... we hosty and pwn. I think hardcore would be best to make sure there is no intervention, (few people play hardcore) and then it's a one time only thing.
I think the best time to do this would be, say, 1 week from today or so, depending on schedules.

To further prevent illegitimate items being played, of course, you can loot in hardcore (I don't know how that works, however) and the actual accounts we'll create/character names will be announced very close to actual time of starting.

Anyone think this is a good idea?

Don't be distressed about not finding very many people to participate. I started the USEast Ultimate Quest Thread which, at the time of this post, is near the top of the list. It took me at least a WEEK to get things rolling. It seemed like FOREVER!

Oh, it doesn't have to be west only... Heh, I'm just going to have us do it on west. That sounds great, and I don't plan on giving up. I think this would be alot of fun with a larger ammount of people.

I'm really bad at converting times, but it should be a while before we get to that, anyhow.

A great start! Since this is kindof a random-draw LLD thing, it might be a good idea to start thinking about what kind of character would be nice for mass killing thats mostly item independant at level 9.
I'm thinking a zealot for me, but I don't know. I'll be experimenting. :)
No rules on classes, or anything. Just no muling.

trust me, they do, 3 points in holy fire, 6 in fire res, try it out,insane damage, maybe 1 extra in fire res or sacrifice

No, we're fine. As to the holy fire zealots, thats pretty much gg pwn so no go on that.

Yup, slots are filled. This first one is just to get a feel on how things work, what's imbalanced, ect, then I'd like to start hosting something like regular ones with rewards for west NL/L players. I just want to see if this one goes well, and is enjoyable. If it is, well... you get a spot on the next one. :)

Personnaly I got Sunday night from 5hpm till midnight or from Thursday 8ham till late Sunday night for that week-end.


I don't play much D2 these days, would work better for me to schedule something out on the forum then contacting on Bnet.

Bnet contacting would be asinine. somewhere between midnight and 2am Bnet time sunday would probobly be the best possible.
