mixxed up barb build

alright so here's the barb i wanna build

20 bo
20 shout
20 mace mastery
20 conc
and rest go into berserk that arn't already going into prereqs and one point wonders..

stats on this build- str enough for gear same goes for dex if any and rest goes in vitality

the main weapon i'll be using is an upped ribcracker stats-
+200-300% Enhanced Damage
Adds 30-65 damage
50% Increased Attack Speed
50% Chance of Crushing Blow
+15 to Dexterity
+100 Defense
+100% Enhanced Defense
50% Faster Hit Recovery
+100 Increased Durability
(180-279) - (255-386) Dmg
130 Durability
63 Str Required
35 Dex Required
Item Level: 61
clvl Req: 53
Weapon Speed: -40

the rest of the gear will probably be something like- arreats helm, high defense enigma, verdungos, bloodfists, raven frost, some other ring havn't decided and havn't decided on ammy.. actually havn't on the boots either haha

so yeah i heard mace mastery works with staves is that true? because that's why i've got points into mace mastery... and well ribcracker's a stave

anyway this build will basically be for pvming and as much pvping as i can do.. thing is with no shield i can be hit pretty easilly if it's some melee that's got really good ar... i want about 30k defense when attacking with conc.. and the reason i'm putting as much into berserk as i can is because it will be my side attack.. just for fun.. this build is mostly for fun but i want to see how effective it is as well..

so i was wondering maybe a mix of this build with a wolfbarb would work? but i guess the main attacking skills would be wasted then.. i don't want to make a wolf barb partly because i don't like the look tho they can certainly be pretty godly.. tho you have to be a really high lvl to even start doing well once you get that helm on.. i mean for wolfbarbs not this build.. i think this build will be pretty solid throughout...

anyway i need some help will this be effective?

rib conc barb will do fine if you have 1-2 ravenfrosts and multiple AR charms

yes staves fall under mace mastery

wolfbarbs with rib would do better than conc barbs

highlords is the only pvm barb ammy to consider, unless you're a singer

A Ribcracker won't do in PvP. You need a shield (against melee anyways).

Unless Duelling a Smiter but You Must have a Shield against Bvb And Zealers or you'll get riped to shreds.

Barb vs Barb u definetly need the shield but against smiter no and even against zealers depending on ur barb build,i.e (WW barb BvC) u can survive without shield but for a conc barb or even a wolf barb shield is needed or u will get ripped open
