Awful Uber Tristam

There has been some discussion in this forum about the facility of the bowazon to solo Uber Tristam. Some people seem to be vehemently opposed to the possiblity of this notion, but for those who aren't, I was wondering what equipment setup (or variety of setups) you would recommend, or use yourself.

I can think of a couple.

Helm: Guillame's (for the CB)
Armour: Coh (for the resists and leech)
Bow: Faith Mat Bow (easy to hit the lowest breakpoint and thereby advance CB more frequently)
Rings: Dual leech or life leech
Amulet: Highlords or Cat's Eye (20 IAS)
Boots: Goreriders (CB and OW)
Gloves: Blood Gloves (CB and IAS)
Belt: Nos Coil (IAS)

this would give 60% CB...seems a little low.

Or

Helm: Guillame's (with 15 IAS jewel)
Armour: Duress
Bow: Faith Mat Bow
Rings: Ravenfrost and leech ring
Amulet: Cat's Eye
Boots: Goblintoe
Gloves: Draculs
Belt: Nos Coil

Either way, inventory would have to be full of resist and life charms.

Any way I can figure it, there doesn't seem to be a good way to get to 95% CB without sacrificing attack speed or life leech.

I am about to enter hell difficulty with my amazon and she will be solely dedicated to attempting the Uber quest, so any suggestions are welcome.

don't even think of entering tristram unless you have to following...

max resists
light absorb
fire absorb
life tap
monster flee
ow
cb
fast bow

get a cta for bo
demon limb for enchant
spend a few days running baal to get as many lvls as you can....there is a big difference between a lvl 88 and a lvl 94 zon when going up against the ubers.


edit....be prepared to be smacked around....try to take on one uber at a time....if you get two on you chances are you will have to call in re-inforcements....don't be discouraged....the first couple times i walked in the portal i got instantly hammered on....it didn't help that i was in multi-player games and was the last one in....the hornets nest was already stirred up.

it was suggested in another thread to take harmony urders in....wouldn't hurt even if they are instantly decimated....i always lag a little when jumping in ports....a bigger meat shield may prevent an instant deed.

so...what about maxed valk with maxed decoy. using some plus skills and harmony valk would have ~ 5500 life. Is there a chance that she would survive for even a few seconds in Tristam?

If you separate the ubers you might stand a chance and it's quite doable.

I've created a Tristram plan (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v629/xmasterx/tristram.jpg) which I usually use when fighting über Trist (with my smiter). First I go from TP to location shown with white arrow (you have to walk along the walls). Then I move my char slightly along the wall towards Meph's location (M), until Meph's minions spawn around me, and then Meph attacks.

As seen on the map it's much more difficult to separate Baal and Dia however, as they usually spawn close to each other but sometimes I succeed as well, esp. if I walk really slowly and carefully (but it's not really necessary, my smiter can tank both at the same time since I use LifeTap). I prefer to kill Baal first because he has manaburn ability which is quite dangerous (I stop smiting -> I dead :P).

I think following this plan, having a lot of crushing blow+ar (or using GA), having a lot of stacked resists and high lvl bo (use a bo barb, CTA is too weak) might just work for a bowie, but I have my doubts.

You can separate D and Baal by running away. Baal is stupid enough to constantly try teleing on you while D just walk around like an idiot trying to cast Armageddon.

forgive me if this is a stupid question but when your in uber tristram is it possible to just get into a corner and spam arrows? Or do the ubers raise minions really fast so this would be very difficult to do. I've just gotten back into 1.11 and haven't faced them yet so forgive me if the answer is obvious.

But yeah, corner solution isn't bad it would allow you to just target stuff in front of you (and not around you). However Meph's minions aren't leechable because they're skeletal mages.

In any case it's very unlikely you'd be alone when an uber is near... what's worse is if they're not busy fighting you they just summon more creatures to the point where the game's engine simply can't handle the number anymore and it starts to lag like there's no tomorrow. I've seen multiple instances of screwed-up trist games where there was like 50+ minions around and the game worked with 0,1 fps.

So basically to avoid this you either need to clean-up minions all the time or kill the uber fast so he doesn't spawn more minions. And BTW, these minions can't be raised by summon spells when they're killed.
