Hunger is one of the most unuseful options in the druid skill three. The huge damage reduction by default (-75%) is really painful. Furthermore the great hell penalty of life/mana leaching is reducing additionally its efficiency. On lvl 60 you could get 200% life/mana, but these disadvatages are greatly downsizing the outfit.
Maybe there is still hope for the only real bite attack in the game?

Is the +dmg bonus on weapons like the redeemer, and especially Grief, affected by the -75% damage reduction of the hunger

Someone can help to find out the truth?

IIRC if you charge Maul before hitting with Hunger the ED bonus from the green ball will carry over. Good luck and have fun.

Hunger is useful vs Iron Maiden, with crushing blow and open wounds it can still kill fast and you can't get hurt.

Wish i knew about '+xxx damage' mod, to poor to buy a grief to test lol

Rabies is a 'bite' attack btw :P

hunger is so great.

it pretty much neutralizes IM in pvm, so just hunger the deathlords until IM wears off and fury the hell out of them

Yep. You can think of that mod as the same as the equivalent amount of +min and + max damage. So, a 400 Grief is equivalent to +400 minimum damage combined with +400 maximum damage.
