View Full Version : Got Faith, what build for chaos/pits?

Hi all, I got a Faith Matri bow with +3 skills on it, and lvl 12 fanat in crazy trade :)
I have 19/19 zon torch, wyrmhide CoH, wire fleece Fort, etc :)

So, I wanna make a build that will OWN chaos runs, pit runs maybe even cow runs. I was thinking of multishot-its fun to see full screen of arrows ;)

Let me know please whats the best build?

well ive heard from other ppl that for the pits a strafer is good....but i personally think multi is better....cuz it looks cool (lol) and with pierce it can kill packs at a time. Its really about preference....im still having a had time deciding what i should do. Im lvl 41 and i have 36 stat points to use XD

The tight spaces of pits and long narrow packs of monsters makes strafe far superior to multi.

Multi excels in places such as chaos sanctuary and cows where large packs come from a wide angles

Ok, I got it :) I'm going multi.

But how to deal with physical immunes?
My skills are going to be:
20 multi shot
20 valk
20 decoy
1pt in all passives.

in my experience with pit running a strafer/lf hybrid works the best. strafe is far far better than multi and does more damage which is always a plus. i'f you're really, really set on multishot then you really don't want to be going over lvl 15 multi with all items because the extra arrows just aren't really worth it and just cost too much mana.

Raising multi above lvl23 is a pure waste, only mana cost keeps growing.
Torch + faith3/x > +6skills into bow and xbow tree.
I keep on telling not to put more than 8 hard points into multi even if it's you base skill. Max strafe for a multizon too. You'll face situations when it's faster then multi.

Phys immunes - some tips.
1. lvl1 magic arrow. Not fast of course but doable.
2. Reapers Toll for merc. Breaks many of them. Or at least they are slowed to not hurt merc while dying from lvl1 magic arrow :).
3. Harmony on switch. I haven't found it really good.
4. WWS on switch - I haven't tried but will when I switch to act1 merc. Amp dam should break higher phys immunity. I have doubts if lvl20 magic of WWS is faster then lvl1 magic with windforce... I'll test it.
5. If not fire immu, strafe, knockback and firestorm from torch will do it too.

Recently I did lot of solo CS runs, I use windforce/forti/might merc with Reapers and I killed the unbreakable phys immunes with lvl1 magic. They didn't slow me down very noticable.

Well, I'll have MORE than +6 to bow skill tree: skills from gloves, hat, ammy, GCs.

I'm gonna remake it to pure strafer like this:

20 strafe
20 valk
20 decoy
1pt in all passives.


Three questions:
1) where to put remaining skill points?
2) since I got all gear already, I can calculate exactly how much str I need. Should I use shako or +2 valk wing? I have my Fort in wire fleece (111 str req :( ), so I can HEL the +2 valk wing and invest enough str for fort...I also have CoH in a WYRMHIDE (got a gansta wyrmhide on a baal run - like 530 def and very low str req).
3) how much vitality? keep base vit so I can have mega dex?

i like having 70-80 vita on my bowama's. try get to 600 life and you should be fine.

20 decoy is a waste

get 20 valk instead

also 20 penetrate

50-60% crit

65%+ pierce, add razortail if you want

Because max penetrate + high dex + 300% AR from Faith just doesn't give enough AR for those that don't work with Faith's Ignore Target's Defense?

I doubt you'll need max penetrate, let alone Demon Limb. 10-ish Penetrate is enough, but then again, you will have a lot of spare skillpoints, you might as well waste them on that.

with 400 dex and faith you can usually have about 10+k ar which is more than sufficient.
