ok, here is my idea... "glass cannon" me and my friend heard about it and we decided it is most liekly THE most godly zon build... you HAVE to use faithGM, nothing else will do, not even wf.... ok, here's the scenario... zons get bowdmg from their dex.... so, use strength to gear, mana to like 75 or w/e.... almost NO life.... and... ShAZAAM! glass cannon.... you would reach about 10k arrow dmg.... but if even the simplest of monsters touches u... X_X...

It sounds pretty much like any pre-1.1 zon :)

I had quite a few of these back then, I used ohm'd wf, 147/60/94 armor, 120/45/40 helmet, atma's scarab, some wicked craft gloves cb/str/dex/ias/skill and goldwrap ^^ (there was a bug with slows target so no nos coil). This would put me past the 147% ias bp (8 fpa) whilst having amp from atma's.

I would get str to around 80 using hard points, everything else went to dex. I had about 680 life.

They did indeed rock, but I doubt you'd be able to take her very far today, it would require some godly charms to make up for the resists (they were not needed back then, cows did purely physical damage).

She will be queen of the Chaos Sanctuary though :)

What you said is quite possible because I created a ladder zon like this but it's far from a glass cannon with 915 life, alhhough I do use some really good stuff :p.

I have atm with itemz 108 str / 535 dex / base vit / base ene and zon is lvl 93.

Bow is Faith GMB and I use also Fortitude annd Pride on merc. Inventory is full of 20 life/res scs or 18+life 3max scs, 10max/life gc and torch ani.

Life is 915 (base, I don't use CTA), dmg is almost 7.1k frozen arrow and 5.2k multi all that coupled with about 77% crit strike chance makes for really good dmg. In CS runs I can play solo in 8players game and I do runs quite fast also, the only problem is i don't have teleporting so I have to walk to CS which usually lags me for about 30sec-1minute depending on what monsters appear in River of flames (some are very damage resistant like Grotesque).

well im flat poor. best thing i have is templars... its saddening... im trying to get faith but i seriously think its impossible.. and as for those type of gloves i wont even think about 'em. :P

I doubt this build will be effective in 1.11v. Unless you have a high level Valk that can tank for you and take up all the hits, you will be useless, and this is obviously a Player vs. Monster only build, dueling any class will get owned. I wouldn't recommend this, and it's defianetly not the most godly Bowazon builds. Maybe it was in 1.08v or 1.09v.

And to have 915 life you must have godly items, so this is a expensive build as well. Not worth it, not a good build.

This is a very common build in PvP... Most people will have cta, however , and that makes up for some lost life.

my glass cannons perform very well...they don't need a faith...a wf is more than adequate...some of the numbers i am seeing for life are more than 2x what mine usually have(300+ depending on equipment and charms)...they rely on passives/huge leech and cautious playing style to keep them alive....it helps that just about everything is mowed down instantly.

have you attempted the uber Tristam quest with a bowazon since ladder reset?
I know you posted about this before, but I haven't seen anything recently. Do you think its possible to solo the quest with a glass cannon?
I am trying to lvl my zon as fast as possible to try and I think the accomplishment would be that much greater with base vitae.

no i haven't yet...i have been working on other projects....it was posted just recently that a zon using a harmony bow with urder revives took out lilith....i hoped to try her this weekend using this method(sceptical still but you never know)

my base lifer wasn't able to finish off meph...because the build relies on cb to take out the bosses, i don't think a high dex zon is necessarily the way to go....if you can get an acceptable a/r....boosted with enchant and hit them with a fast bow...you might have a slim chance...trick is to stay alive and shooting.

if i were you i would go with a higher vit zon....once it's been proven that you can do it, then start testing with other builds(lower vit)....right now ANYONE soloing them with a zon could retire from d2 and have their name remembered for years...i was quite happy to see that someone has taken out lilith....if it can be duplicated we are one step closer to soloing them...i still think that lilith is the hardest of them all.

I had wondered about the revives on harmony. Is it possible to revive then switch bows, or would the urdars bite it?
I will be done with hell by the weekend (finals are through with!), so I will let you know if I make any progress with the same method. Thanks for the inspiration.

no you just make sure you have the proper gear equipped for the monsters you are taking on...i can't count the number of times my base lifer has cleared the throne solo to retrieve party memeber's bodies and keep the runs going.

cannons have huge res considering coh and other gear, so souls dunt do much at all.... and as for the whole cannon being junk in pvp thing that is a total and utter lie, you cant get near them unless u have huuuuuge def or max block, and even so, one arrow gets thru and ur dead.... and pvm, u dont need to worry about valk tanking, nothing comes near u unless u dont attack... cannons tear thru EVRYTHING... :xmas17: thanx for the advice though, and atm im trying to acquire a crappy faith.
