At level 50 SM/RS/RSM, Skeletons should have 1429 life in hell and Mages should have 523 according to a popular skill planner that is on the internet.
However on some of the necromancer "pet calculators" they give a much higher level of life (like 10k and 2k). Which is correct? How many hitpoints do skeletons and mages really have at level 50/50/50?
Can the world ever know?
I tend to think they actually have 10k hitpoints at that level based upon how much damage they can take in game play.
If indeed they have 10k plus life this is a major bug and should be fixed.
It's not a "feature" either! Marrowalk was called a feature and was finally fixed ending that debate not soon enough.
But hey, maybe it IS a feature that skeletons have 10k life despite what the skill text says! Maybe in the next patch they'll have a 100k hit points despite what the text says. Will this also be a feature?
Speaking of features, I've heard rumors of a few that might be coming out in the next patch:
1) Putting no points into summon resist yet carrying a plus 1 summon resist wand (must only be a plus 1 with no other mods) makes your summons immune to physical, fire, cold, lightning, and poison!
2) Blizzard also thought the weaken spell needed a boost, so in the next patch watch for "WeakenMancers"! You see, as long as the maxed Weaken spell is cast, skeletons will now be able to kill anything in the game including the ubers in 1 hit.
3) And finally, the best feature of all that I've heard's coming out in the next patch: If the necro maxes Confuse and Bone Spear, he turns into a Hammerdin!!!

That one is wrong. The pet calculator gives the correct amount of life. They will have an insane amount of life at that level.
Speaking of features, I've heard rumors of a few that might be coming out in the next patch:
No need to become an *** over something as simple as skeleton life.

Yeah, you make yourself sound like a troll. The pet calc is correct. +30 skills is a lot, faar from being a bug. Use your head oh and be nice, this isn't battle.net.
3) And finally, the best feature of all that I've heard's coming out in the next patch: If the necro maxes Confuse and Bone Spear, he turns into a Hammerdin!!!
Thats horrible. If I wanted to play an overplayed/overdone class, I would.

Wow! Everyone's so sensitive and blindly protects the idea of skeletons not being bugged when they clearly are, calling me all sorts of names! LOL!
Ok, let's take this step by step and very slowly: The following observations are from hell mode.
SM 0 RS 20 -- skeleton life is 399 according to the skill text, the planner, and the pet calculator. All are in agreement
SM 1 RS 20 -- Text/skill planner life = 407, pet calculator = 475! Difference = 69 hps.
SM 10 RS 20 -- Text/skill planner life = 479, pet calculator = 1159! Difference = 680 hps.
SM 20 RS 20 -- Text/skill planner life = 559, pet calculator = 1919! Difference = 1360!
So the bug appears to be in skeleton mastery and/or how it interacts with raise skeleton.
This skeleton mastery bug also affects the life of skeleton mages, but to a much lesser degree.
So it comes down to whether you believe the skill text is just waaay off or that skeleton mastery is bugged since the patch. Personally I think the text was the intention of the designers. Having 8 two thousand hit point tanks with only 40 points into level 1 skills seems more like a bug. Having 8 600 point tanks seems much more reliable.

Skeletons may indeed be bugged. We don’t know what Blizz really intended. EgoSuicide nor me said anything about a possible bug. If someone reacted sensitive and blindly it was you.

*If* skeletons were meant to have the life that's displayed ingame, they would be completely useless
Considering that Blizzard fixed the synergy bug, which didn't really do anything unintended except add some damage and allow for some hybrids, then not fixing a "bug" that spawned Skelemancers seems weird: the performance of a skelemancer with normal gear is just awesome, and adding some dupewords on top of that... if that is a bug exploit, then fixing it would have been much more urgent than fixing the synergy bug.

Conjecture or your opinion. The bug is in their life, the damage is stated (more or less) correctly.

I quote you, "No need to become an *** over something as simple as skeleton life."
Insults spawn from emotion and indeed show sensitivity.
My post about the changes was obviously facetious in nature, pointed mainly at the idea that a 3x plus life bug is no big deal and really doesn't merit any investigation, which in my book IS acting blindly since that much extra life should be considered a major bug.

It has to be a bug, no matter what. But the thing is, WHAT is bugged? Display screen or actual life? Seeing that this was not fixed in 1.11, I think Blizz made a bug first, but it was rather popular, and was not too imbalanced, so they let it stick. ie. It is probably an internal bug at first, but "turned" into a display bug.
Edit: It seems like you really hate summoners, from the other thread about skele life. If you think they are lagging you, direct2D solves that problem. If you think they are overpowered, they aren't, compared to grief smiters, hammerdins, etc. I rather they fix bugs that make skills useless first: Fend, fury, inferno, etc.

I think this guys a troll just here to start arguements. He has no creed to his points.
You can't say the bug is internal, because the skelliecalc uses the internal formula, and only the skill is displaying the wrong amount of life. It's just like the quirks known for the LCS.
