what is best merc 4 light java an what to use on him?

I used a Might merc to help my leeching a bit. I used to have a Holy Freeze merc but I found that his aura interfered with my herding too much.

Desert mercenary with Might or HF aura is best. And Infinity weapon of course.

Rest is up to you but something like ETH Shaft, Stone, Gaze or Andy mask would be quite nice.

As they have said, might merc all the way. My former 99 had her 98 merc as a might and she worked very well with herding cows

Yes, a might mercinary is perfect, extra damage never hurts, and a loyal tank he is, with a high level Valk you would have you're own little army to take all those hits. Might merc all the way.
