About kicks.

Hi.

I have a few questions about the assa kicks skills. I already read the pot-it obout this, but my eanglish is not very good and still have some questions.

1)- The poison dmg (or venom), will work with the kicks?? i read tha the elemental yes, but dont know about the poison.

2)- The +xxxdmg from the Gief will work with the kicks??

3)- The "%chance to cast venom lvl 15" from the Gief can be casted using the kicks??

Im thinking in make an assa kicker (dragon talon) using Gief+SS, with 20skills in Venom, but if the +xxxdmg from gief dont work, and the poison dont work too.... it will be an usable assa ^ ^

The venom will work from kicks but it won't show on the character screen ;) .

I don't know about the grief never used it so hopefully someone else can answer.

Though you should cast venom whilst kicking from the ctc venom on grief :)

So, the venom works... yea good.

But you mean that using the gief the "35% cast lvl 15venom" will be casted kicking??? (sorry if you cant understand me... my eanglish is bad)

I mean.... if i maximice the Venom skill (20) + the +xskills in the stuff, it will be at lvl 30 or 3x. So if the "lvl 15 by gief" will be casted... the venom on my assa... will be lvl 15 or lvl 3x???? .... if it will be lvl 15, probabli use gief will be a problem :(

the ctc venom on grief will over ride your venom.

i.e You cast level 30 venom
You go and start kicking grief casts level 15 venom so you will end up having a lower venom.

and since kicking is so fast you will be casting venom nearly all the time so putting points in venom is a waste if you are going to use grief.

Im not sure for PVP as my kicker is PVM and uses max fade... looking at the guide would be best bet :)

2) No, the +X damage on Grief does not work with kicks, nor does any other +min/max damage.

3) The Venom on Grief will only override yours if it is a higher (or the same) level. It works like enchant in this way.

So if have the venom maximiced +stuff = lvl 3x Venom, and the gief cast lvl 15, the 15 will no override the 3x Venom??

Hallo;

dont use grief, it helps nothing to kicks. +damage doesnt works with kicks, plus you will end up having a lower venom than using any other weapon.

Now, what you should do?

1.- Max venom
2.-Weapon? If u wanna to use shield, Azure is your best choice, since it is fast and deals magic & elemental damage. Other options are:Fury runeword for massive OW. Doom runeword is nice too since it slows your enemies down with the freeze aura.

Vs casters u might consider using dual clwas since when dual claw u can block any spell (weapon block skill). Use bartuc(UM)+Fury, cheap and effective. Or u can use one jade talon for resits vs sorcs (but check the speed kicks section to be sure u kick at max speed with 2 claws, its a bit messy).

Yes thx.... Gief is NO an option for a kicker ;)

So i whant to make much dmg from poison, from ow, and from cb.

I think in use weap+storm to have full %dr (SS+Verdu), but probably my bloqu will be bad...

So you think that the more interesting builds will be:
--> Azure + SS vs meles
--> Fury + Bartuc (um) or Jade vs casters

Hmm ok, but still have a lot of questions about skills :P

Claw mastery does not helps with kicks, dont invest any point on it (cs does not work, u use boots for kicking, not claws ;) )

Claw block, put enough points to make it reach 60% of blocking with skills from gear included, cant remember what level it is, 16 or so (+skils included, remember). Most of time one point makes the job, if u use 9 shadow skilers, torch and anni. You must check ur gear.

for BoS, same as with Claw Block, with the +skills from gear and charms it makes u reach the max speed with one point on it.

I suggest to put on point in fade, it wont hurt. And also 1 point in Mind Blast and one in WoW or LS, to stund anemies with trap and MB, then u can go and kick them up. Also one in Dragon Flight to reach teleporters or runners. And one in Shadow Master. With this, you have:

-20 venom
-1 to Claw Block
-1 fade
-1 Wow or LS
-1MB
-1 DF
-1 SM
I think in total it is 35 skill points (pre req included),
uhhh, there is a lot to spend yet. Your alternatives, assuming u are to level to 80, with 57 skill point to spend (quests included), are:

1.-MAx Dragon Flight and Mind Blast. DF hurts if maxed(when it triggers, it fails a lot but oh well), and MB, u can kill low damage reduced chars with just using it :P. If u can take it up to lvl 40 or so, using some fast cast rate, is nice.

2.- Make an hybrid assa. Drop all in the rest in traps, LS and synergies. You can have 3k damage LS easy (dont use trap skilers, use shadow skilers, since ur main atack is kick), it will help you to kill enemies, you know, land traps, some MB, and go kick. With this, if u level more than 80, more trap damage u can have.

Helm, shaco is fine, but Guillaems face gives DS and OW too (and strengh, helps to use Stormshield), and its cheap. Check it. Also u can use Kiras helm vs sorcs or foh palas when u need to stack resits and jade is not enough.

About weapon, there is a runeword, Malice, very cheap and gives 100% OW. Make it on a fast claw, ie runic talons, if so.

Oh yes im dumbass...Dragon Talon......well. I have made 3 kickers assasins by now, I only maxed Dragon Talon on the first one...for one reson:Number of kicks. Hihger number of consecutives kicks than 3-4 is bad. Everyone who has played a kicker knows it. When you kicks, enemy can move away, tele away, or simply get KBed back (KB is inherent feature of kicks, same as smite). When any of this happens, you keep kicking on the air untill the 6th kick as finished, then u can move again, run, fly, whatever. But with 6 kicks you stand like this many many times and enemies make profit of that: You are vulnerable. For this, it is highly recommended you limit your number of kicks to 3 (4 at max, but 3 better). I cant remeber what level of Dragon Talon gives 3 kicks, but you dont have to spends more than 5 points if have some +skills on gear, torche and anni. Check this skill level; many kicks is bad.

Now, what do you lose by having a lower level of Dragon Talon? Damage and AR.

-Damage: the damage you lose is nothing since physical damage from dragon talon is crap, main sorce of damage is venom. May be u will have 800 instead of 1000. Nothing to care about.
-Atack Rating: You will have less AR, but not that much. VS smiters and Barbs use angelic ammy and ring, and thats it. You will have +10k Ar with this for sure. If u feel still need more, get a claw with the folls mod on it (+14xx ar, damage is not important). Or Bartuc with an AR jewel. Thats it.

Cloak of Shadows: I never use it, I ask barbs and palas how much their def does down and is only an small amount. I always have on point on it, never you should put more than one, not big deal.

Yes, kickers dont need an strongh skill investment. Thats why people always make hybrid assasins. If u have chaos then u can make hybrid WW / Kicker, but then gear becomes much more expensive to be effective. You can put more points in fade, or max it, and max claw mastery (for WW), but then, without BoS, you need very expensive gear to reach the speed you need, ie, CoA with 2*15 ias jewels, really fast weapon, or very fast claws when u go with dual claws, i.e. 2*fury Runic Talons, or Fury+Chaos Runics T.

My advice if your budget is limited is to make an hybrid kicker/trapper as I explained above, you can defeat many people with it and have fun with all basic gear. Up to you, though.
