Decisions: Orb or Blizzard for PvP?

Hey all, this is a simple one but I can't seem to come to a consensus with myself.

I have a PvM Blizzard Sorceress with all the good gear and stuff. She goes 14-15K Blizzard damage. However, she is a pure vita build and I am making a block/vita build now.

My Equip:
-Nightwing's Veil
-Blizzard Ormus with Cold Facet
-Visceraunt
-Lidless
-Arachnid's Mesh
-SOJ
-SOJ
-Trang-Oul's Bracers
-Treks
-Fathom
-Mara's
-HotO

-Torch
-9 Cold Skillers

So my question is, with the above set up, should I go Blizz or Orb for PvP purposes. This is a purely PvP build and it is against all classes. Also, what gear could be tweaked a bit for more efficiency or survivability? Is max block a good choice? Which shield should be used with which weapon--I'm thinking of one for blizz and the other for teleporting.

I personally feel that Blizzard would be a better option than orb because orb does not do enough damage for me to be effective. I made a orb/ E shield sorc that while it could last forever, would never be able to kill any one with positive cold resist and 2 ravens on (specificaly Barbs...) Blizzard is a tonacious skill as you can see from your old build. Concerning max block I am a huge proponent of it. I feel that the vita returns on a sorc is crapy, but you must also look at what you will be doing and since your dueling you probably will be taking a lot of magical damage as well as physical. So maybe look at different shield options. While Vesceraunt is a great shield, specialy when uped, whistans allows you to reach max blocking with a lower amount of dex since its blocking for a sorc is acctually 87%. 153 dex I beleive at lvl 99. So try that other wise its your build have fun with it. Oh and you might have some problems with resi so have a wizardspike in there just incase. It is my personaly opinoin that 20k+ Blizzard is stupid when 15k will kill most people.

All depends on what type of chars you dueling.

Blizz: crap vs. most casters, huge dmg, hard to aim, lots of tele

Orb: crap vs. melee, amazing vs. casters, low dmg, amazing tank (ES), lots and lots of tele, good to aim

Me 2 i would go for blizzard, coz orb is easy absorbed - 2 ravens + snowclash = bump and u wont kill a ****
Blizzard sorc u need to learn to play, but it can kill anything and its the only one sorc which is very hard to absorb

I'm personaly thinking to make orb sorc with maxed ES at 90-95% huge mana pool and insight staff with +3 orb... what people think of that. Dmg i guess will be arround 800 to 850

You'll lack survivalbility without a shield and low dmg. But you would still kill most casters i reckon.

Yeah, maybee u r right. I came to this idea, coz i have now uber strong ES light sorc and i can beat all builts except few if they r good made and good played: those r charger/smiter palas (curse them) if they use absorbs and ww hybrid assa traper (terible OW and venom)... hmm
