i'm intending to make a fire sorc for the first time lol. preferably for PvM, and just enough for PvP
here's my intended gear:
25/-5 fire eschutas
maras amulet
shako with 5/-5 die fire facet
spirit monarch
5/-5 upped wyrmhide vipermagi
eth treks
spiders belt
magefist(no brainer :P)
as for the rings, i'm confused. FCR rings(very expensive, hard to get, i hate dupes too), 1 x raven frost and soj, or just dual sojs?
i know fire sorcs in PvP excel obscenely with 200 FCR, but i don't think i wouldn't need that kind of fcr. the gear i listed above(w/o FCR rings) is 140% FCR i think, which to me is pretty obscene already :P.
but i still need advice on certain gear...
- weapon
HOTO or eschutas? my total resists with the gear listed is not more than 200 which to me is bad :/. but eschutas well, add's a truckload of damage. and i'm not sure if i should go for damage or resist/defences?
- armour
the upped vipermagi adds lovely FCR, and maybe just -1 skill point less than CoH. should i go for coh or vipermagi, then would 110 FCR be enough at all for fireballing?
- helmet
shako with -5/5 jewel. i'm too poor to afford a godly fire sorc circlet so well, i think shako is the next best thing? correct me or advice me on it, and should i change it's socketed item.
- boots
eth treks is the next best thing i can think of other than war travs?
- rings
dual sojs, soj + raven frost, dual FCR rings, FCR ring + raven frost, FCR + soj?? how bout "cannot be frozen" attribute? should i put a cham rune in my helm?
as for the inventory, probably about 4 or 5 fire skillers, torch, anni and a couple of 20 life scs i guess.
second switch, would be CTA and lidless.

if i choose the first gear set i reckon i have to buy lots of resists scs... and i hate those things lol, any advices?
and what's your recommended set for fire sorcs(of course omit those duped rare and socketed godly FCR/skill/resists/etc circlets :P)?
