i was thinking about making a bowasin, but i want to see if anyone else has tried 1, and see if they might be ok for pvp.

i would use:
bramble+trang gloves for prebuff (and venom claws if they help)
widowmaker [shael]
enigma
shadowdancer
probly coa [15/40,15/40]
gloves with ias
sojs or 10cast 15resist rings
maras or a assassin ammy
torch
anni
9xshadow

skills will be:
20 fade
20 venom
1 blade shield
still have a lot of points, so a few traps for a little side damage
20 lightning sentry
20 charge belt sentry
20 shock web
rest on death sentry

will this build work?
also, do venom claws help my prebuff?

My view on bowsins:
Things to understand about bow assasins:
-Enigma is a must.
-If you get hit bowside, you lack block and possibly dr/res, this is instant death, avoid getting hit bowside at all costs. Reconfigure controls to place weaponswitch closer to the rest of your hotkeys. If you are not shooting, you should not be on bowside.
-The majority of your damage from guided is venom and ow%, use weaponswitch to aid this damage. -enemy poison resistance or ow% will transfer from your weaponswitch as long as that weapon is active, making weapons like Um'd death's web or Malice talons a great switch for bowsins.
-The main advantages of a bow-using assassin over other bow classes are the assassin's use of trap stunlocks and mobility that comes with the assassin class. Take advantage of assassin cast rates (65+) and use some additional frw from items/charms to help evasion tactics. Make sure to use wof/ls with mindblast to stun opponents, have max trapset speed on your weaponswitch.
-If you rely only on bow to do damage, you will be limited in what opponent types you can face. Going hybrid to cover bowsin weaknesses is a good idea.
-Although bowsins are BoS users, due to diminishing returns maxing BoS for purely frw reasons is a bad idea. If you have a proper build with a large amount of +shadow skills to have good venom damage, your BoS skill should be boosted to the point that 1 base skill point will suffice. You will only need 15 ias to reach max bow speed if your BoS is level 13+ at time of cast.
-Don't get discouraged if you die from getting hit bowside a lot when you start playing your bowsin, the key to bowsins is learning assassin stunlock and evasion tactics, you can't afford to get hit bowside, so learn not to get hit.Copy/paste'd from this bowsin discussion thread: <EDIT by Naliworld: Link deleted>

Eeek!
Competing forum.

Anyhow.
_please_ think before you ask questions.

Fade sucks with things that want to go fast.
The required strength on CoA is above 150, I'm sure. Same with Myrmidon Greaves - which Shaddancs are.(By the way - I just remade my bowassn for the fourth time; her name is Myrmidon if anyone sees her around)
Strength is a big no-no on bowachars. More strength is less life is needing more res is less skills is less damage is never getting a kill.

Make sure you stay away from people. Trying to tank is a really bad idea. Maybe put a Spirit sword and 'narch on one weapon switch for teleing and laying down your traps. Spirit has the 55 fhr that you want, and that assassins crave. The block helps as well - Whistans might be a better choice.

Um or Nef your widow. What he said - only one point is needed in BoS; torch and skill charms break it way past the 11 you'll need (and the 10 more ias you'll get with Andariels or Highlords. Go with highlords, use Kiras or a Harley instead of CoA)

Precasting is a *****. Don't bother stocking Bramble unless you plan on playing against a lot of WWSins. Another thing to remember is to not hide behind your light traps; chargers will snag you easier than it is to PK a WWBarb. Sit behind puddles; or try to find a heavily puddled area to tele inside when a smiter comes careening toward you. Believe me; they don't think before they click charge, and they'll get jammed right up against that puddle while they're OW'd and being sminged with lightning traps.

Was just trying to provide extra information about the topic.

about that death web weapon switch - wouldn't this not be effective because the duration of venom is so short? by the time you switch the venoms over.

When the arrows are hitting you should be dweb side. This also transfers ow% at the time of hit.

Someone once told me that -poison res doesn't do anything after you fire your arrows; the arrows work only with the mods they were fired worth.
However, I've seen ingame how a dweb can effect how well venom'd arrows can work.

Other possible switches are Lacerator and Fleshripper/Fury
