Best Single-Tree Gear

Hey folks, I've got 2 buddies that want to get togther and make a 3-soc combo, one focusing on each tree. We could really use some gear tips for:

Blizz sorc
Fireball/Meteor sorc (ME :D)
Chain Light sorc

The cold & light sorcs are gong to be pvm all the way, but i might be considering switching to pvp with the fire sorc later on.

All of the guides above are very cool, but they're mainly hybrids, and this doesn' thelp our cause :(

For a fireball meteor sorc its pretty straight forward. Max Meteor, firemaster, fire ball and fire bolt and making sure to get teleport and maybe a cold armor, the rest of your points usually go into warmth. For gear I would use
Helm- Shako
Ammy Maras
Weapon- Occy or wizardspike
Shield- Spirt Monarch
Armor- Uped Vipermagi
Boots- Water walks/ Sand Treks
rings- sojs/bks possibly a raven
belt- arachnids
gloves- magefist

The your setup would be the same for dueling really. You are wanting to get as much fast cast as possible to put people into stun lock with fireball, I believe the breakpoint is 200, but I am not for sure during dueling if you havent reached the last FCR break point sub out gear in order to do so.

weapon - 3/20 light chuta with 5/5 light die socketed. another very good choice would be a infinity in a low str polearm like scythe or similar
shield - ss (if want max block) or spirit monarch (no block). if using infinity, then no shield
armor - +3 lightning 15% light ormus socketed with 5/5 light die.
belt - arach
gloves - magefists or trang
boots - waterwalks or eth treks i guess
rings - 2x sojs or fcr rings
ammy - godly sorc ammy with fcr, mana, resists, stats, etc.

edit: oops forgot helm, 20/15 griffs socketed with 5/5 light die facet. forgot about that :rolleyes:

Uped vmagi or fb ormus? WHy magi? The resists?

Would I need 10 fcr rings or does the gear you listed already hit 200 fcr bp?

Also, why wizzy, why not an eschuta?

What about helm? shako or griff?

I just need to hit 117fcr bp if i'm not mistaken, right?

Well IMO Wizzy is the best weapon for a sorc. tons of FCR and resi. For a 200fcr fire sorc you pretty much need it.

Edit: I prefer Viper for the resist and easier to obtain... but if you like ormus go ahead
