View Full Version : Kicksin Considering Weapons
Hi.. I'm trying to decide on a weapon to use for my uber kicksin.. OFC Last Wish is out of my range unless I trade the equip on my hammerdin, but that means no keys! =/ So Fleshripper is always a good choice, but how about a Faith Bow? Has anyone had any experince with this? And I'd really like to know what kind of bow you used if anyone has done this... Just looking for some newbie insight =) Thx

just to share some thought with you...Im currently making a kicksin and also had a bad headache deciding on weapon...
why even consider a faith bow when u can use a beast + shield? trust me Ive tried on my end game gear and have had problems with 2player shenk just because of the ranged monsters...and I believe theres alot of such in Utrist...
beast would give more str>inc kick damage, more CB>faster killing bosses, ias/ar, and also frees up shield slot for SS which gives max block resists 35DR...
alternatively a fleshripper would be much cheaper and still work pretty well i believe...
im now still testing out between a death WS, flesgripper, and also an azurewrath once im 85...of course i hope to get a beast since my end game intent is ubers+PvP...

And is SS the best shield to go with? I think after Death in an Eth Zerker id be broke, but itd be nice to know if something else was better...
well...the zerker itself is at LEAST IST-hi on west...add in the vex and gul the entire runeword should set u back by about 2-2.5 HIs I guess...
well depending on equipment and skills, the "best" weapon is always rather subjectable...do you have enough off weapon CB? if you do, I think a beast is better since it offers ias, +skill, CB, str, OW, list goes on, but im only leaning towards this cuz I wanna pvp with her...otherwise Ive heard an UMed azurewrath is nice too...im currently using fleshripper and death and I think fleshripper is a lil faster while death is usefull with the glacial spike that freezes monsters...
if you use blade fury frequently, death>fleshripper cuz more CB for range penalty and more damage...
in fact even LW night not be a "best" weapon since using it means no points into fade which rither means ur a slightly different build, or u gota rebuild...of course the most usefull mod over death i feel is the might aura, but thats at the expense of 4 more HIs for a PvM build...
with my WS death, I still required an external source of ias for 8/3/3/3/3???(cannot remember exact stats sry), and I i think the slower zerker would require maybe 2-3 slots worth of ias to reach the kick breakpoints(highlords/gloves/jewels)...
if ur interested, Il share with you some of my current equipment and stats and skills on my lvling 80 kicksin and you can see for urself how the different weapon, stats, skills complement eachother on mine...Im not saying mine is the best/only way to build 1, but Ive given quite alot of thought into it just because the equipment I use are slightly different, which imo is one of the more fun parts of d2 these days...

No, Death will be your best bet if LW is out of your range.

hmm...is this tested? cuz I personally feel that if ya got enough CB from elsewhere, (33helm, 15 arm=50 )the other mods on death are not "really" usefull compared to beast, which also has CB but less, but providing ias ed str etc...even if u CB their health down, you would still need to do the killing blows dont u? thats imo...

Listen to this guy.
Fast as lightning wich you gonna need cause you are going to want fade vs the uber 3. 35%cb, CTC static. Also has some minor lightning sorb.
It's a sweet weapon for an uber kicksin, so why spend all your resources on an expensive weapon. Look at how goddamn slow death and lastwish are.
And else use fleshripper

I liked Doom, Beast, Lac and Dweb the most.
