My blizz sorc is now lvl 75, and so far I've maxed blizz, glacial spike, ice blast, and have 14 points in CM (bringing it to lvl 20 with gear). My question is now should I finish maxing CM or start putting points into ice bolt?

Thanks for any help,

Rob.

You should max out bolt before anything. Cold Mastery should be left alone until you've maxed out all the synergies, just as you should do with Warmth. I'm not saying don't put any points in either of the two at all, maybe one or two until you master everything off.

Xion, are you saying that in PvP, I should have say...max cold bolt over max cold mastery?

Let's say I want to PvP before I finish leveling. I only have 35 points....so 20 go in cold bolt and 15 in cold mastery? Any particular reasons? You know that the damage will be higher?

What if cold mastery cuts down the resists of stackers? I'm pretty sure that high cold mastery will help more than high cold bolt against stackers, though I could be wrong.

What I'm saying is, I'd prefer to max my synergies or invest more than a few points into my synergies before investing some major points in Cold Mastery. My gear, Annihilus, and Cold GC's keep my CM at a decent level and I really don't need to worry about that at the moment.

His got a very good point there. To use the points to CM or not could be a dilemma. If you max blizz and all it's synergy, and your opponent has very high resistance towards ice, don't it make him take less damage?

By reducing his resistance towards ice, would it make it fair and powerful against the enemy. So adding skill points to CM has it's good side. But to be fair to those who want to have maxed blizzard damage, put at least 1 point to CM and use +skill point item to boost CM.

This is generally for people who do not have decent armor to help them level, it's fair and simple to do.
