If you want 75% block with a lvl80 Sorceress wielding a Spirit Monarch, you need 301 dexterity.
So I'd say it's not worth it to spend more than 0 dexterity into it
If you keep your dexterity base (25), using the same setup, you'll have 3% blocking :D

Please don't get max block with a Spirit monarch. If you want to go the max block route, use SS instead.

my light sorc currently has 44% block rate with spirit monarch, with 200+ dex(i spent a hell lot of points on dex :)), and ending up with a little less than 1.6k of life after BO.
if i didn't do anything to my block rate... it would probably be just about 10%ish and well, die lots of times in nihlathak runs :)

you should go with no block or block. not in between.
don't go with max block with spirit monarch casue that's a waste of dex. use stormshield, sanc troll nest, sanc tower shield, whitsan's guard, up'd visc, etc. for max block.

I would recommend against block.

Stormshield has 67% block when a sorceress wields it, so you need 195 dexterity to get 75% block at lvl80

if you wanted you could always just use a guardian angel, adding 20% to block.. but then again you will sacrifice the skills you can potentially gain from using your armour of choice.... i recommend against max block with a spirit....

Why would you use GA with spirit? Spirit is optimized for speed killing anyways.

Yes, he merely attempted to optimize the blocking without sacrificing toomany points in dexterity
I'd leave dexterity at base when using spirit, since the dexterity gained from certain coincidental items, anni and torch will give you something along the line of 20% blocking anyway.
I would recommend against block.
Indeed. I view it as more than a waste.
