Nithy = ouch

ok so how do i kill this sob, i have a fo/cl sorc, i just find that nithy owns me with his corpse explosion
i have 700hp with 35%dr from stormshield and 75%fire res but i generally die to it in 1 hit or so.
What's the best way to tackle him?

edit: i just read that natures peace is a must.... that might help but i didn't no elemental attacks worked with it?

Edit: I used to do Nihilthak runs with A FO/CL sorceress. She had 2000hp (Used spirit so no max block, with a CTA) and does 10K+ Lightning, 5K+ Chain Lightning damage.

i'll have to get one
my dmg is pretty pitiful.... i'm just using her as a budget key runner but she does the job for t and h keys.
only 3.7k lightning dmg and 2.5k chain lightning dmg.
that might be a problem with running nithy... probably would take too long to kill him.

Use either 'nadir' or darksight helm and explode the corpses to your advantage......and before Nil does.

Exploding the corpses before he gets a chance to sounds like a decent Idea, exept thats ALOT to manage with everything else that is going on.
You can pull most of the guys out of the room and kill them outside, or find a nice angle well before you enter the room and blast away with CL.... Thats what I do and he is usualy dead before I ever get a chance to see him or his minions.

I guess you're just joking, 'coz the minions he summons are cold immune, meaning that they won't die from orbs and shatter.

It actually works, if the orb is damaging enough. The thing is, critters are cold immune, CE guy is usually not. What remains is a dead Nilk and some critters. Finish off with L/CL.

I decided to get a little cheesy. My Chainorb does wear NP ring, but the kamikaze minions that sometimes blow up before YOU blow them up... Nihl will blow them up again for ya :D Plus sometimes the merc gets in a lucky kill. I always spam CL at the Nihl pack from a distance, and keep the merc on a leash in the meantime with Tele, but sometimes I get a little clumsy.

Solution: Insight on the merc, a point in ES. The CE blast will take life and clean out your mana bulb, but all you have to do is tele away, gulp a red, your mana will be full again by the time your health is. Then back into the breach you go.
