Really, I got to hell diff, and there are no real games. There are, instead 10 or so trade games..

Is there a channel or something for the real games?

The reason there are so few "real" games is that people who are making hell games are all the high levels, in addition to the people who are still not complete hell. So, you see all the leveling (baal) games, as well as anyone who's making a public MF game, or a trading game. Since probably the majority of people who are online, who want to trade are going to be on high level characters, people looking to make high end trades are much more likely to make them in hell games.

-Trade games (eg ISO Fathom, Script FT, etc, not "trade here" games) exist because people want to idle in them while they sleep on the off chance that some idiot comes and makes an insane offer while they're busy not doing anything. For the most part that is. Sometimes there's other reasons for it, but that's why most of them are there.
-These games don't fill up, and there aren't all that many games being made in hell and so they stay visible on the join list for hours at a time depending on how long the person plans on being afk and if the person knows how to properly idle.
-I'd say something like 90% of baal runs are private
-Games that are full do not appear on the join list -- if a decent set of public runs starts you won't be seeing them on the join list except at the start/end of the runs, if you see them at all. Since most people in hell want runs and not everyone can get into priv runs, runs fill up fast. This and the above is why you don't see hell baal runs on the join list that often.
-Most people, upon reaching hell, want to get to their mf spot or their baals asap, in norm/nm you'll see sewer runs or whatever -- in hell these are unnecessary. Most people also have a friend to help them rush hell, or are capable of doing it themself, or are willing to pay/scam forge to get a rush. As such all the quest/non-baal run games you might see in norm/nm aren't nearly as common.

I'm sure if the threat of being (tp)pked was gone, there would be a lot more public games everywhere. I don't intend to start the old blah blah arguments, but that is my personal opinion. Even if that was sorted, there is still the problem with people deliberately setting up a tp in the middle of a ton of fana/extra strong/fe/le/etc etc pack and stating that the portal is safe.

I don't spend time getting a char to hell and even completing the game, only to provide some jerk with 2 seconds LOL.

In a nutshell, there aren't many public (hell) games, because there are too many bored jerks around.

My $0.02 fwiw.

I don't know I guess a couple years ago, there were more people so there were plenty of games.

It pretty much perpectuate that the same people reach a high level all the time through. If you don't play public, you won't meet new people, and new people don't know about private game.. kidna defeat the purpose of online gamimg imo.

That's what the banana channel is for.

I always made "xxxxx for trade " games and did my MF runs in them. WOuld run Andy / meph / pits / tunnels / diablo / PSE / baal while I waited to see if someone wanted what i had. So in effect I was doing 2 taks at once

There are too many TpPK and TownPK hacks out. I barely escaped a Town PK hack in Hell Act 1 just a few hours ago. Some 86 Sorc did not escape...Lv 99 may be slow going but I will never join or make a public game again.

Is it the usual town pk bug involving the act 1 merc? or a new actual hack?

This guy is just uninformed. There are no TPPK or Townkill hacks. Townkill is just a bug exploitation and TPPK can either be done manually or with a trigger.
