Just checking - does corpse explosion affect drops? Been using my necro to do pit runs - and the drops after 10 runs are terrible compared to other runs - in quantiity, not quality. Am I just having a bad run?

Shouldnt be any difference. You are unlucky.

I agree with Lorven, you are obviously just unlucky. Corpse Explosion is just another skill like all the other ones. CE does not lower the chance for a magic item to drop!

Huh. Ok - just seems very low in the item drop area - and I'm 20 or so runs in. Guess my infinity/light sorc just did it a lot faster! :)

I've noticed the same thing about CE. Whenever I use it..there seem to be a LOT few drops. I run the pits all the time, so I really don't need it much. However, I have noticed when I do use it to clear out a bunch of champions or large packs..the number of things that drop is considerably lower than if I just keep using Nova.

Champion drops are fixed...... 2 pots and 1 drop (either gold, or magical and above)

i've acctually noticed the same thing. When I use my CE there seems to be little to no drops from monsters (i've even had champions and uniques drop nothing, and I know this for sure cuz they were the only thing left standing when I killed them)
I've checked around, and people seem to verify that CD does NOT effect drops, but I swear it does. When I use my bone spear to clear out the pits I get a lot more drops than if I just blow everything up. I know it doesn't make sense logically, but I've seen it a lot when I compare/contrast with my bone spear or spirit. Crazy I tell ya.
