I plugged in some levels into the necromancer pet calculator and skeletons have 399 hit points at level 0/20 Skeleton mastery/Raise Skeleton.
At 20/20 the hit points jump to 1919!!! Is this correct??? Is this the amount of life the programmers intended them to have? This amount of extra life doesn't seem to correspond to skill text.
Please explain how skeleton warriors get this many hit points; also how come mages are so wimpy when compared to them? (Mages only have about 10-15% of warriors' life).
Thank you!
i don't know which calc you used, but 1919 is excessive without any +skills.

Don't know much about necros, but I think the calculator has some programming/html issues. For a quick one, if I selected a difficulty, and then clicked a blank space on the page, the defense of my skels would change...
Needless to say, I would exactly take it as gospel.

I got 559 off another online skill calculator from some item shop. That better be correct since otherwise, no-one would even attempt to buy items from them.
Note: I don't use any part of that site other than the skill calculator (ie. I don't buy items).

I really do think however that skeletons are somehow bugged regarding the amount of hit points they get: it seems that they can take waaaaay too much damage before dying.
I think the clay golem's hit points is bugged in someway too. Maybe Blizz decided to go overboard on skeletons after everyone was complaining how useless they were in 1.09 but maybe just forgot to change the text?

I heard that they regen as fast as Uber Mephisto, percentage wise.
Skellies really do have that much life, and percentage-wise their regeneration is as fast as that of the ubers.

That amount of life seems to be correct. this calc (http://diablo2.ingame.de/spiel/skills/calc/index.php?lang=en&char=nec) gives the exact same amount for both scenarios. The amounts are also in accordance with the amount of damage a Skellie can take before it re-dies.

Ok then, this confirms the fact THAT SKELETONS ARE BUGGED!
I've had my suspicions for quite awhile but now I believe the reality of the matter can be determined.
The fact is that skeletons take way too much damage before dying and are bugged!
I've heard the clay golem is bugged too; gee whiz, the necromancer is most buggy character to play, and I won't have any part of it!
How come Blizzard never could get the necromancer character right? It seems that in every single version of this game they screw something up!
I don't play BUGGED characters and neither should YOU!
*Who's been casting the "lower programming skills" spell at skill level 50 on Blizz employees for over 5+ years now????*
BUGGED
BUGGED
BUGGED
Damn those imba summon necros, damn them to the 10th circle of HELL.

I think they are intended to be this strong. If this is an obvious bug, they would have fixed it by now. Who know, it might have been a bug that is turned into a feature, since it was popular.
Speaking of bugged, nothing is as "bugged" as a grief smiter. I mean, OMFGBBQPWNED always hits and unblockable damage.
Don't forget the stun effect. :D

I am simply too godly for D2. :D

The only bug with them is that the skill doesn't show the right amount of AR and life. The skellies themselves aren't bugged.

Nope, not bugged.
I don't play BUGGED characters and neither should YOU!
So you won't play Paladins (Sanctuary, Conc+BH, Charge bugs), Amazons (+ar% on her ranged skills is bugged, won't work. Fend+D/A/not E, Penetrate+Blessed Aim bug), Sorceresses (Masteries getting applied again on melee hits), Necromancers (Display bug on Skellies, Invisible Bone Spirits in PvP), Assassins (trap display bug with +% light or fire dmg), Druids (Fury) or Barbarians (Leap Attack+Flamebellow or Frostwind, general Leap attack bugs). Doesn't leave you with a whole lot of characters left to play.

i think skeletons were supposed to be this strong, but blizzard probly didnt intend for people to use enigma, causing a great deal of damage when they land on someone.
and i thaught about that spirit bug too, i think it turns invisible because the client never got the point x/y where it is, so it cant be displayed on client, but its still on server.
