Silence viable?

I have a Silence berserker axe laying around and figuring that if i could use this piece to fit in my Sub-Uber's Organ hunter(hunting for organs) set up. I think Silence is decent if you have cb else where and some ias as well making monster flee in trist IS A GOOD THING, and as well as damage to undeads while zealing. True, it maybe a bit slow, but ias jewel/resist could work(dunno the price of this, but just ias jewel still works) on Guillaume face, and highlords and Fana for IAS. Still, the mods on it are good but the speed maybe a bit problem...

Anyone's opinion on this?

Is the fast speed attainable with silence?
Crushing blow is around 65
Resists in hell are 75/75/75/75

I'm guessing that my merc will die so fast that he won't be too useful of a guy for organ hunt (lilith suicide...)

You'll need an extra 40% ias from rest of the gear for max zeal/smite. 20% from highlords, 15% from ias jewel,10% from nosferatu belt and you are ready. If you use exile,you can forget the 15% ias and nosferatu and just use 20 ias gloves with highlords.

Silence skills will help your smite and the 75% all res from the weapon is a great advantage in tristram. Guil face + gore rider will provide you with all the cb you need. Nice to see this past master to be still in use.

Goblin has 25% cb. Gore has 15% and 15% deadly strike to help zeal and 10% open wounds to stop regen of life, and higher defense and 30% faster run walk. You lose too many good mods for just 10% cb..

Silence is nice but in anything but a Pb, it will cost ya loads to repair.. as well as the durability on a zerker is low so as to need repair very often. See if ya can trade that for a pb ;). Not to mention that you get major style points for carrying the old school pvp weapon lol. It's a very versatile weapon as well for any class.

Well, i actually had in a zerk just to do a bit damage to minions and it has better range i suppose. I have a perfect(270%ed) kingslayer zerker as backup so not too much worries, I just hope the durability won't run out fast when i'm still striking at ubers...

It is exactly what he suggests,silence in a phase...Well silence grants small ed bonus, making it in a pb is the fastest way to create a low damaging weapon. With grief it doesn't really matter since the modifier is added to the base damage,min and max. If you use a crystal sword and roll a +400 you'll get a weapon with +405 min and +415 max. If you use a phase blade and roll +350 you'll have a +381 to +385 weapon...

I was thinking of trying to make this weapon for my NL uber hunter. I really want to be able to zeal the ubers to death but I need to use salvation aura to keep my resists up against meph and sometimes if I get mobbed by pit lords. This means no fanat/blessed aim aura and without it my AR is too low to zeal. If I had silence I could use fanat/blessed aim but would my damage be high enough in a phase blade? I recently made duress and that costs me a lot of money to repair as it is... it's getting very tedious having to gold find ontop of running keys. :p

Some tips:

Use ort and ral runes to repair your equipment if they are easier to acquire for you than a lot of gold

Don't make one on NL, there should still be many around unused from the 1.09 days to trade for (cheaper than ingredients of course)

The thing that kills the hardest in chaos tristram is crushing blow. My paladin also wears goblin toes for that 10% extra

I just know that as soon as I get a silence weapon, through trade or self made that the ort runes everywhere will mysteriously stop dropping. :D
