Hey everyone! I am looking for a easy guide to follow for my first character on Battle.net. I am making a Cold Magic Finding Sorceress, and I am just looking to see like at certain level what exactly I should have on each skill and what I should have for attributes because those can be very important also. Also IF possible I would like to know the best gear to have and a few items less expensive that I should strive to get also that would work for a Cold Magic Finding Sorceress.

Hey Aero. Nice to see your sorc is coming along quite well for a starter on the realms. (not to be harsh. but you spelt guide wrong, :thumbsup. we all have bad days ) Anywhos. Depends on what type of sorc you want to go by. I believe there a 2 types of Cold Sorcs. Which both use the same gear practically.

Orb Sorc
20 points ice blast
20 points ice bolt
20 points glacial spike
20 points frozen orb
1 teleport
1 telekensis
1 Static Field
1 Warmth
Rest Cold Mastery.(or blizzard which makes ice bolts on orb stronger? not sure on that, i heard it somewhere). But still put a few points into Cold Mastery, if your going to use anything else.(could also put some more into warmth.

Blizzard Sorc
20 points ice blast
20 points ice bolt
20 points glacial spike
20 points Blizzard
1 teleport
1 telekensis
1 Static Field
1 Warmth
Cold Mastery (same as above)
Total= 84(without including points into cold mastery)

I used to play Orb sorcs alot. Even hybrid it. Orb/Blizzard. They are both just as good as each other when it comes to MF act bosses. If your going for things like baal. I suggest Blizzard, as it can deal some massive damage to quicker to bosses with lots of health. Blizzard on meph is abit harder as he moves alot more.

Equipment.

(This was my 1.10 set up)(some of the gear is quite expensive, its both for mf and baal runs)

Perfect Deaths Fathom (cold % anyways) /Oculus/ Wiz spike for teleing
Chains of Honor/Tals armor.
Chance guard
Tals belt/Tgods(for those damn souls!)
Rare boots with mf and resists.
Tals ammy/rare +3 sorc ammy with mf and resists/Mara's Kaleidoscope
Shako
2 perfect nagel/2 Soj
Storm Sheild.

Alot of mf charms
Annihilus charm


Did i miss anygear

Stats

Strength- Enough to use equipment.

Dext- Didnt use, but if you want block or to use a wizspike( i used +dext items)

Vit- Rest of my points went here

Energy- None. Used insight runeword on Act2 Merc. Otherwise. No more then 50 energy put into here.

Not sure if i missed anything.

Thats just my opinion anyway, and a brief set up.

If you are making a pure mf`er i would have gone for the blizz sorc. She kills meph fast even in hell. I use my cold sorc with fully synergiesed blizz to rush to... i put 1 point in orb and it works great in normal/nm. (some +skills equipment will help you alot for the orb:D)

I think i screwed up the orb sorc part.

Question- Is icebolts on the orb the damage that the icebolt skill says?. If its not. Dont need to max
