Hey! I'm usually a sorceress or amazon player, but lately I've wanted a bit of variety and turned to the assassin. I skimmed through the guides here, and none of them exactly appealed to me, so I went to a skill-planner and partially planned out my own build. Seeing as it's not really covered in a guide, I'm not entirely sure if there are quirks in it that need to be sorted out. Or if it's so obvious that everyone assumed a person would be able to figure it out for themselves. Anywho, I'd appreciate any input that you could give me on this.

This would be mainly a melee dual-clawed sin. I haven't exactly looked into equipment or stat distribution yet, but let's all assume that she'll have a decent defense and life pool while achieving a high damage output. In theory, anyway.

Skills:
20 Tiger Strike
20 Dragon Flight (with three prerequisites)
20 Claw Mastery
20 Burst of Speed
10 Weapon Block

The build would pretty much be completed around 81 with all the +skill point quests, since I am as a rule too lazy and unfocused to stick with one character for too long.

I maxed out the skills that I did in order to maximize the damage output. Tiger Strike and Dragon Flight would be the main charge up/finishing move, obviously. Claw Mastery would increase the damage and give me a chance for critical strike, which I assume would happen fairly often, given the number of swings I will be taking at a monster. The maxed Burst of Speed would also be a skill that increases my given damage per second, with the nice running speed bonus. The Weapon Block would save me from half the damage I could possibly receive, which would be incredibly important as I would be in the thick of the fight.

I could achieve up to +2126% damage with this build, which isn't too shabby, in my book. However, I didn't exactly take into consideration the fact that I might encounter some Physical Immunes. I figured I could just depend on party members to kill any I might stumble across. Or, perhaps, should I take some points out of Burst of Speed and put some into an elemental power-up?

I'd appreciate any input that you could throw at me! Thanks for your time.

If you're gonna use D.Flight as your main finisher you might want to stock up on some stuff that gives you a faster cast rate. If you have a low total amount of cast rate and get hit during the animation right before you tele, the attack will almost certainly get interrupted.

Although, personally, I'd rather use D.Tail as main finisher, and D.Flight as a transportation device. I think your Mercenary and Shadow will be teleported with you when you use D.Flight on an enemy. I'm not sure, since I've never really used the skill that much.

Welcome to the Assassin forum! It's always nice to have someone new around.

Well, you didn't see anything like your build in the strategy section because (no offense), your build is weak. You're new, so no hard feelings. Anyway, what kind of play style are you looking for? It looks like you enjoy big numbers and melee. That would mean Tiger Strike/DTail would be your best bet for a build.

If I read that wrong, go ahead and come back with more ideas.

A few things you should know about Assassins:
-Charge-ups take time - you "lose" damage just by charging them up. You also don't get the bonuses until they release (except for the AR bonus, which is only applied once).
-Kicks work differently than regular attacks - I would suggest reading the kicking basics sticky before deciding on one as a finisher. They are good, just different.
-There are a lot of one-point-wonders; skills that should only get one point, but almost every build includes them. They include Mind Blast, Death Sentry, Blade Fury, and Dragon Flight. (Yes, there are more.)
