Rate Your D2 Addiction

So for a while now I've been meaning to find out how the addictions of the other forumites stack up to mine. So what better way than counting up all the characters I have? To date I have built 22 characters over lvl 70 since the last time I decided to rejoin the D2 world. For your enjoyment and my wish to do just a teensy bit of bragging, here they are:

(yea for some reason 81 became the magic lvl to get my characters to... don't really know why)


I also have an account with 8 chars over lvl 70, but it was given to me by a friend. Since I didn't build them myself I won't count them. Additionally, I have 3 other character I've started still under lvl 70 that I will soon be completing. With all of my mules included, I have a total of 66 characters. I consider this to be a pretty high level of addiction and frankly now that I've written it out it seems a little scary. So how about you guys?

My current account has only;

-84 Mace Frenzy Barbarian (retired, built from scratch ergo stats are horrible)
-84 Necromancer, uses skeletons and corpse explosion
-92 Hammerdin, does all my magic finding, key running and helps rush friends
-85 Zealadin, I could have just given Exile and Grief to my hammerdin to kill the Ubers but I wanted to make a totally new character for the job. :)

My addiction isn't very high to be honest. Sometimes I play quite a lot... sometimes I don't. It normally depends on if I find a cool item, or make a rune word or something like that. I often find uniques while MFing and I can't bring myself to drop them so I hoard them on a mule account, when I get bored of playing one character I look at all my mules and decide to make a new one based on the items they have.

My lvl97 sorc, lvl89 bone necro, lvl96 hammer, lvl84 LF Zon, lvl81 Trapsin, Lvl82 Zealot, smiter and lvl82 bowazon were giving to someone on these forums.
I spent alot of that year specially during ladder starts, getting my characters past lvl80. There were those characters that i started, and didnt like the build so didnt continue them, past lvl50.

I've made about 12, maybe 13 account-fulls over the course of my playing time, so that multiplied by 8 is 96-104 characters. Most of them are of coarse retired, and are being used as mules. I still have a lot of my first characters from my newbie days, and refresh them every few months.

Too many projects going at one time i suppose. :lol: Who knows, i might get bored again after all these and make an orb/firewall sorc too. :D
