alright, so im back into d2 again, and obviously my first char will be a sorc for mfing for gear ect. Now what would be the ideal sorc to play with. im planning on nm mf, until i can get some gear to hell mf. i will do the usual spots, andy meph pindle shenk baal ect ect ect.

i see it like this > Blizz -- is probably my best bet
> Orb -- is kinda blah withouth +skills in hell or is their a way to make it work?
> Meteorb -- now i havent actually tried this one yet... but does it have the killing power needed to power mf?
> Light -- lack of +skills will make her lessgodly then what a lightsorc should be.
> Pure FB- Meteor -- people still do this nowa days?

--
My fav's are orbs, but they dont got 2 much killing power. So here's the fun part. You're Thoughts?

Orb sorcs can kill just fine in Hell for MFing purposes, plus it gives you more points to put into TK/tele, so I'd go with that.

Make sure you sweet spot Meph/Andy when MFing, it'll speed the kill up considerably.
Toss any weapon you can find with Slow Monsters on your merc, with slow and cold dmg, Mephy will scarcely move.

Blizz is great for Balling
Meteorb requires a lot of +skills to be effective
Lightning is really good for specific areas, and can do pretty much anywhere, but this is probably for later on when you have a better item base.

blizz sorc, kills nm meph way faster than even a level 20 ice bolt synergized frozen orb

also levels up much easier due to ice bolt and ice blast synergies

also does way better against hell meph if you take her there compared to orb

i know a blizzsorc would do fast runs, but im probably gona get rushed, cowed, and baaled from friends, so lvling factor isnt 2 much of a big deal

in that case, i would suggest blizz.

orb does really well untwinked, because you can get the safety spells a lot quicker, but if you just a build for a skill-less, stat-less lvl 75 sork, then you can skip the whole safety thing and just go full power with blizz.
