V/T Questions

Hey! I have a few questions on a V/T that i would like answered. They are listed below:

1) I heard from expert v/t's that grief zerk is far better than pb because it has a range of 3. However, i would have to then use a 20 ias rare/crafted gloves instead of draculs. Which is more beneficial: the possible chance of casting life tap or the range?

2) How many ias does it take to get 6fps smite with grief z? If i use a 20 ias gloves, would the amount of ias on the grief zerk matter at all?

3) The following gear was suggested to me:
20 smite
20 fana
20 holy shield
1 conviction
1 meditation
1 vigor
rest you put in FoH/Shock (use a skill planner to calculate the optimal split which depends on gear)

I dont know whether this is the best skill allocation. Is vigor or meditation needed at all? I would preferably save points on them and use charge as a means for transportation.

I prefer zerker but it doesn't really matter what you use unless dueling barbs. I personally think tap is kind of skilless and the reason for using dracs would be because of open wounds, not because of tap. If you have level 27+ fana you need 50ias with a zerker. I always put a point in meditation since I usually shift charge with it when dueling teleporting casters. Otherwise my mana pool gets drained very quickly. I know a few v/t players who don't have any points in def auras and do very well though so it's up to you i guess.

hmm what would be the optimal gear for such a pally and what gear changes should i have in stash? Right now i have bit of a draft of what my pally will look like:

Ber Shako
MP Enigma
Grief Zerk
Upped Ber HoZ
40/15 Dungo
2x BK
Pally ammy with resist and stats
Rare boots with 20 fhr and resists
Rare/crafted gloves with 20 ias etc

In stash:
Exile Kurast or Sacred Rondache
Sanctuary Sacred Rondache or Kurast
9x Pally combat, 3 of which i have 12 fhr
Torch and panni

my pvp v/t pally will also be used for the uber bosses so ill have a CoH (since im using base strength, mp arch would be a good choice?), LoH, and Tgods.

1. I use zerker since before I smite, I charge and get into the zerker range, then i don't have to sacrifice life tap/ow from dracs
2. depends on your fana lvl. mine needs 20% more ias to hit 6fps
3. viet told me that with his new mage, he wants 25 conviction which is extremely helpful. i tested it in pubs with my lvl 15convic with higher smite dmg and lvl 25convic with a lower smite dmg. i found that lvl 25 works very well.

well grief, a lower slvl smite wouldn't matter since it does loads of dmg anyway. though this is for my t/v so it could be different.
