I heard that Hel runes are very valuable but don't know why ?

I just cubed one and I have 2 questions...

1) Why are they so valuable ?
2) What are they worth in the open market ?

If you consider a couple pgems to be valuable, then yes.

They're useful, but not particularly valuable... useful because you can use them to make socketed runes/gems/jewels disappear. This allows you to upgrade what you had originally socketed in an item to something better (like getting rid of the PRuby in your Vipermagi and putting in an Um rune). It also allows to, assuming you have the runes to do it, reroll runewords until you get a decent mod roll, especially if the item you're socketing is worth more than the runes going into it (like an eth 4os elite polearm for 'Insight').
