Budget uber-hunter gear

i'm trying to make an uber-hunter while staying relatively cheap (spend under 2ist)
i'm choosing a zealot build to do it

so far items acquired:
weapon: shaeffer's (will shael it)
helm: guilaume's face (will um it)
boots: gore riders

trying to add:
armour: need suggestions, duress looks good
sheild: ss /w pdiamond (would like a hoz but i can't spend 2ist on a shield)
belt: verdungoes or string of ears
rings: ravenfrost and probably a mana leech ring of sorts
amulet: need suggestions

with this gear is it viable to run ubers? i'd have 50-65%cb, 20% chance to cast static on striking, 45-50%dr

Your budget is sufficient to equip a succesful uberkilling zealot.
If you can,trade the schaefer's for stormlash. It has static field as well (doesn't work vs ubers though),33% crushing blow and a lot faster,and usually of equal value.
Helm and boots are perfect.
For amulet consider highlords,metalgrid or a rare with resists.
For shield spend a mal and make sanctuary (ko ko mal) in an elite pala shield with resists as base mod.
Duress is superb armor,great value for an um.
Draculs are a must,I never rely solely on life tap wands or charges whatsoever.
Verdungo is good choice,but you can always use resist belts like ik or credendum.

You need lots of resist charms.

My nl zealot uses the above gear (non upgraded hoz instead of sanctuary) and with 1 hard point in smite can take the ubers down pretty fast.

if that's the case then shaeffers is rather.... not good for them....

use a shael'd stormlash!!! It is on my uber-killing smiter and you can't beat the 50 ias/33 cb/static/etc....

i love it, it saved me from selling my limbs for another pb grief....

if you dont want to dish out a mal for a good resist/elite pala shield sanctuary...

find a 4os elite pala shield with resists and 4x p diamond it, it worked for me before i xfered my hoz onto my smiter...

highlords if your ar is up to snuff, otherwise, use angelic ring/ammy/raven combo.

find a demon limb to get a prebuff of enchant, that helps damage and ar, so you can't go wrong with that

Your gear seems good enough...

Few sugestions. Uber runs without draculs is a no go, so include them asap (unless you have a tap wand - but that can be a pain).

Elem res is the key of surviving there, so consider good old guard ang 'umed' to get you to 90 all res, although duress gives superb killing power...

I would suggest to spend 1 skill point in Salvation aura to counter Meph's horrible conv aura - and stack yourself with extra res charms in stash even if it goes over your max (Meph conv will break that!)

i've heard meph is a pain.... but i didn't realise it was that bad.....
i've got a highlords now (score!)
will get dracs (i do have a life tap wand... but then i was thinking....nah....)
i'd probably go for um'ed ga over duress now coz they cost about the same price, i think that 50%cb and 65%cb ain't gonna make that much difference in killing speed.
As for shield.... i'm not sure.... i like the dr on stormshield but it doesn't give a large amount of res. I might c how a 4pdiamond shield goes.... with the increased block from ga it might be a-ok.

Don't forget the open wounds on the armor though. Coupled with a Gores, it'll trigger eventually and negate the Über's healing. ^^

Holy Shield will also play a part as well. If you're nuts, you can make a 4 P Topaz shield too. Some source of life tap with a fast enough smite will usually allow you to leech enough to live through the Charged Bolts of Conviction. XD

I have a Ladder Frost Zealot that does fairly well against Übers. The maxed Salvation adds a fair chunk to my already maxed lightning resist, and with my partner's Fanatacism, I leech enough to live. You should do fine. :thumbsup:

Don't get too crazy with lightning resists and forget cold ones, you don't want to receive mephi's blizz while under his conviction...

In uber trist I use metalgrid so my zeal is 9k average per swing. Outside I use highlords and the extra deadly strike takes it to 11k average.
My smite damage is 5.7k average (grief/forti +1 hard point in smite. I'm a pure fanatic zealot essentially)

Mine is a budget gear using heaven's light. I don't have enough budget to get a grief or even a stormlash, especially when I am trying to equip a few other PvM chars at the same time (like trying to get a Tal's armor). I also don't intend to trade for highs.

seriously this is almost as budget as u can get, considering i found the highlords and got the shaeffer's for pul.

weapon: shaeffers 'shaeled'
ammy: highlords
Helm: 'umed' guilaumes face
armour: ga with res jewel
shield: 45 res shield with 4 pdiamonds (muah hahaha sheer power gear)
boots: gores
ring1: ravenfrost
ring2: manald heal
belt: string of ears
gloves: laying of hands (till i get some dracs)

i'm not sure if this will work but i figured that if i can get 90res all and ample to spare so meph doesn't annilate me (gear gives light res and i will cold res it up with charms), 50%cb, some open wounds, some deadly strike, static i should be able to last
any opinions before i get trashed?

Don't even enter tristram without life tap. And you need to overstack resists. Mephi's aura will set your 90all res to -150....Duriel's shell is better in tristram.
