Uber Killing Hammerdins

My friend told me a pure-hammerdin, maxed with hammers, vigor,blessed aim, and concentrate will get mauled by the ubers. This news was very saddening after getting my new hammerdin to level 75. However, I just saw like, 5 people talking about how hammerdins rule at ubers. What is true?

They are very good at killing the minions but not at killing the Ubers themselves. Killing both is important.

pure hammerdins can only act as a tank for crowd control but can't take on the ubers themselves. they will have to alter their char in skill choices and such and other gear such as smite gear if the want to take on the ubers.

youll be fine just with 1 pnt into smite grab a 6 bered weapon for a weapon switch and smite the heck out of them with taht and your exile. Itll work wonders.

Also gets rid of the annoying iron maiden for the lesser bosses if you choose to use a smite/hammer variant

Besides, Heaven's Light on switch along with Guillaume's Face in stash in enough for a quick switch.

I think 50% cb is more enough. The important drawback of a hammerdin is that he doesn't have fanaticism=no ias. So 35% cb from guil,15% from gore=50%. 120% ias from 6xshael crystal sword=7 fpa speed,last bp before max smite + uped zaka and the job is done with normal hammerdin skills. Dracul's will give life tap.
