So we have 3 copies of D2 and whatnot, bought 3 CD keys, all that good stuff. However, one of the LOD expansion CD's has gone missing, and 2 of them are pretty much needed at home. (I leave to go back to college tommorow) and I want to put D2 on my laptop. So, having a CD key, but no CD, any way to do that, so I can set it up with a CD, but not need one to run D2?

The only other alternative I see is to just take a LOD CD from the house, and when my sister and dad want to play, one will have to put their 1 CD in, start D2, then take it out and use it to start the other one. A little annoying, but I'm almost positive it works just fine that way.

Thanks.

need a d2 loader which is so mangled right now with all the patch's and stuff....i used to play with the loader cuz my cd was wrecked. I can't really tell you how to get it or even how to set it up anymore cuz i dont really know. I dont even know if my game is running on loader or on cd....its a mess. I'd suggest using the cd if you can, find a way to do that.

Actually... I know a place where you can get a good loader that I use as well. It doesn't involve maphack like the last loader either. Although if i were to tell you the site you would probably not use it because of the big maphack it supports, not to mention the countless bots it has uploaded on the site. It is easy to install.

Directions:
1.Make sure your diablo II Lord of destruction disk is in the cd drive.
2.download d2loader
3.Extract it into your diablo II Directory
4.Click on My Computer
5.Right click on the Diablo II Lord of Destruction icon
6.Click open
7.Copy the diablo II video and Diablo II Music file into your diablo II Directory
8.Now you are ready to go

I'm pming you the site and where to click to download it.

My PM's dont work, unfortunately, they've always been messed up. Nobody can send me anything :(

I believe you're talking about "bh".com? I don't really care what they support, I mean, they're going to support it whether or not I use their loader so i dont have to bring a CD to school or not... Of course I'm not interested in their other crap, but the fact they have it too doesnt mean I wouldnt use the loader from them. However, I think I've decided to just take the CD from my house... seems easier anyhow. Thank you though, I appriciate it.

Download Deamon tools and a virtual copy of the diablo2 play disk. Takes up drive space instead, sadly.

mmm there used to be such tools at gamecopyworld, but i've looked for them, and they're gone unfortunately.

why dont you just burn another one? The cd-key is NOT linked to the cd, only to battlenet, so you can play dii with pretty much any cd-key as long as you have a working cd.
