Please, i´m a novice in battle net game, i´ve finished diablo a lot of times, but í have not played into battle net.

My first doubt is what i lose when i die in battle net??? XP??? Just Money?? My Weapons???

Second one, What is a legit player??? And what is hacked stuffs???

The last one, if hacked stuff is things created by cheaters players, how they do, how they put it into the game, and how we can discover when a player have one of this type of item?

Thanks a lot and sorry my poor english, i´m from Brazil.

Hey, welcome to the forums

If your playing softcore, then you'll just lose money when you die. Additionally, if it's on NM or Hell, you'll lose experience as well. If your playing hardcore and you die, you'll have to restart over again.

You won't lose your weapons or armor, unless you die multiple times, and then quit before you've collected all your corpses. Even then, there's a good chance that you'll still have all your equipment when you join another game, as long as you didn't equip yourself with anything else while you were trying to get your corpses back.

Edit: Although I haven't played single player in a long time, if I remember correctly, dying on battle.net is the same as dying in single player.

A legit player is someone who does not use hacks. Some people even go so far as to say it's someone who also doesn't use items possibly gained through questionable means (ie, bots, or dupes).

I assume by "hacked stuff" you mean dupes. These are created through exploiting various lag techniques, but they cannot be discussed here. If you trade for valuable things, like high runes, then there's a good chance that they might be duped. There's no way to tell for sure, unless you physically found the item yourself.

If you do get a duped item, then there's a very good chance that it'll disappear at some point, and you'll lose the item.

Yes, I agree with you. This is one of the main reasons why I do not do PvP (player vs player) games. Still, this forum has a pvp section, which looks to be pretty good. If you stick to there, you'll find there's less people that use dupes and what-not.

I cannot think of a thread right now that details dupes, apart from the section at rpgtrades, which lists common duped items. You can check it out at http://www.rpgtraders.net/d2/dupes/
