I recently installed diablo 2 with the expansion. I've had no error messages or any signs of incompatability, with the exception of an issue I run into when I try to configure the game controls. All of the functions work when I assign a key/button for them except for the 'skill' functions (1-15), and the 'select next/previous skill' functions. No matter what keys I assign these functions with (keyboard or mouse), nothing happens when I try them in the game.

I've got the newest patch and updated the latest drivers and tried reinstalling the game, but no luck. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Have you assigned them on the 'skill speedbar' (the list that comes up when you click on the icon showing your current rightclick and same on the other side)?

Forgive me if this is either too elementary/obvious, or too confusing of an explanation.

Say you're a sorc, and you want to alternate between static and tele. You've assigned skill 1 as F1 and A; skill 2 as F2 and D. Make sure that you've brought up the 'skill speedbar' for your rightclick skill, and pressed F1 while hovering the mouse over the static icon, and F2 while hovering over the tele icon. Test by switching to regular attack, then pressing the A key. The icon for the readied skill should change to static. Pressing D should switch you to tele.

If you already know/have done all of that and it's still not working, I don't know how to fix it.
