I believe it means that it has taken advantage of the fact that (correct me if I'm wrong, guys) when 1.10 first came out, and introduced the unsocketing recipe, if you socketed something then removed whatever was in those sockets, it kept the bonuses. Generally, "4os eth wirefleece (glitched)" means that someone used this bug back when it still existed - it's since been fixed - to make it indestructable, keeping the ethereal defence bonus along with it.

I think it's not that, but rather the eth socket bug. If you use the cube to punch sockets into an eth armor/shield, the eth bonus is applied again.

there are 2 types that are considered glitch'd however the prices vary dramatically for these 2.

1) when used the cube recipe on a eth armor, it will gain a extra 50% def bonus but will not guarantee the number of sockets u want, also works on pally shields. ppl use these to roll things like eth forts, eth stones, eth exiles all with extreme high defences.

2) when 1.10 first came out (this is what i was told by friend but i'm sure hes right since hes been around a good while) there was a bug that when u socketted things and took it out, the abilities would be there as described above. this is how things like eth glitch'd shako, eth glitch'd hoz, btucs, etc all arose. these items are extremely rare but still do exist.

in the case of the wirefleece posted above, i believe its just using the cube recipe. these items aren't that uncommon no more but just getting the one with the right amount of sockets would be a bit more harder to find and u will expect to pay a pretty good amount if very good def and such.
