Help With Trading

I have been playing D2 for about a year on and off, and now am finally in a position I have some stuff of value to trade.

So my question is... how?

I go to the trading forum, agree a price, give them my account name and tell them a time I will be on B-Net. What next?

Do they contact me via chat?
Do I have to be in a specific channel in chat?
Can I be playing a game and they send me a message?

After this we set up a game and do the trade screen thing I guess, but what I am unsure of is how to get from agreed price to being set up for the trade.

Sorry for the stupid questions, but I can't find any help on this.

Since you told them your account name and a time you'll be online then the next part is easy. Just be online either in chat or in a game itself at that time. The other person will whisper you (/w *accountname message). Then you two will agree on a game name/password to join. Both of you would join that game and then open a Trade window to do your agreed upon trade.
