Hello, im new to this board. so plz forgive me if my post is out of place or something.
well anyway, i have some questions about the barbarian, as its my favorite class. and this is gonna be the 3rd time i make one and play on b-net. (ladder-eastern)
my first question is has the deadly strike bug been fixed? is highlords wraith effective now for ww barbs?
secondly,im gonna be a ww sword barb, mainly because i dont like the way axes look, and i plan on getting the best stuff.. heres a list
e-botd cb
stormshield
highlords (if bug has been fixed)
2x ravens. (maybe angelic combo with amulet)
fortitude runeword for armor, or coh.
arreats
verdungos
dracs or rends.
gores
finally my second question is this, what should my base stats be? (good charms seem to always evade me) i know no points into energy. and rest of points into vit. but what about str and dex? this barb is gonna be for pvp and pvm,and also i dont wanna be bugged. i want other people to be able to see my equipment.
please help me on this, im sick of starting over because i keep makeing mistakes about where to put points. and mostly everybody on b net laughs at me or says something like. hahaha noob!. or something to that degree.
again forgive me if my post is out of place or i made any mistakes.
thank you.

Well first off, I"m not sure what bug you are talking about, but highlords is a good choice. As far as I know the deadly strike does work. For armor I'd say Fortitude all the way. For your barb setup I"d recommend dracs for the OW as opposed to the rends. At least one raven and then whatever else. Angelic will probably be needed in pvp.
ok, now this is how I"ve always done my stats. You have all of your equipment on paper. Look at all the stats and figure out which piece of equipment you would be able to equip first (assuming you could level up to that level without putting in any statpoints). Now if that piece of equip has either +str or +dex, count that dex and/or str into your base. Basically its an exercise in math in order to figure out just how much str/dex you need. The only way your items will not be visible is if you use the +dex/+str on the item to equip itself...ie you put on a +str helm in order to equip your ebotd CB (which adds to attributes) and then remove teh +str helm and rely on the +attributes on the EBOTD CB to have enough str/dex to equip the cb. If you use the +str/dex from items to equip other items (but dont take them off) then I believe your gear will still be visible.

Well let me give you one advice though, you are on ladder and seem to have the funds to get a grief ba. I think you should reconsider how you think the axe look, because this little fellow has way more dmg than any botd even with lowest dmg, and 20% ds too. Poison to kill oak sages (venom).
Go after a grief ba as long as it has 34+ ias, and you will be well equipped. Use dracs, and get a beast ba too, since ss is so damn boring, and gimps you vs a lot of nonmelee chars, for example a bonenec and a lot more.
Use fortitude ofc, and get one in an archon plate. Use draculs too, and ditch the rends. Verdungo is the perfect melee belt. Arreats is a good choice too. Gores is indeed nice for a meleer.
Consider making a Treachery, its a cheap way of getting max res, if you don't got the charms etc.
Remember to spend your attributes so you are flexible, instead of just getting enough to use your gear. Yeah it looks cool being unarmed, but it isn't cool that you cannot take of arreats and switch it with kiras etc. vs blizzsorcs etc.
Flexibility is the key
Agreed with the above in terms of weapon choices. If you're really trying to get the best stuff you can, you should definately use the berserker axe, as it's a vastly superior weapon. BotD is good for pvp and pvm, while Grief is superior for PvP (though not quite as great for pvm in that it doesn't have dual leech, indestructible, or Prevent Monster Heal mods). Similarly, if you think you're going to be fighting casters, you're going to need a beast weapon in your off-hand to be competitive, and you can't put beast in swords.
That being said, if you really just can't stand the way axes look, go for the sword, even though this will mean handicapping your character in the pvp/efficieny departments.
As for stat placement: flexibility is nice, but pvp is highly competitive, so it's better to be focused in either melee or caster combat than trying to play both ends of the field. Regardless, you'll need just enough strength to wear your biggest item counting the strength you get from items (don't count charms if you want people to see your gear; charm stats make your gear go invis, though this is again inefficient). Same goes for dex: either enough with gear to equip your weapon, or else enough to reach max block for your level (222 at 99 with stormshield). Otherwise none; dex is useless for anything else.

Also u may want to get hold of 2x 3 bo sticks to have on switch to help bo.
If u are well off u might want to think about purchasing 3 max dmg 2x ar and 20 life scs or Grand as they are some of the best sc for a mele dueler but can be costly depending on ur realm. If u cant afford them u can go for 20life sc with ar or all res but again all res and life costs.
And try to get hold of an anni and torch as these give stats as well as skill + res so if u want to use less points to meet ur item requirements str wise, u can really on these stats to boost u so u can put more into vita.
